Good Morning

Looks like Bert and Ernie are finally getting settled in with the girls. They both were happily searching for bugs under the bug lamp in the outside run with the rest of the flock. I haven't heard either of them do the COCK-A-DOODLE-DOO thing yet...

Found my first egg yesterday morning and three more when I got back from picking up the Roo's.. Haven't checked the boxes yet this morning - I'll wait till it get's a little bit lighter out...

FT - I'll be 51

Ya Jim don't think I'll ever buy from Menards. Don't like the grade of their materials. Think stick built would be better and maybe cheaper. Take your mower deck tower and open up a vise big enough to allow the bearing to fit through put the nut back on the shaft flush with the end to protect the threads and use a soft hammer and or a block of hard wood and drive the shaft out. You could warm up the tower a little. You should be able to tell the direction to drive by which end of the shaft doesn't have a step in it to impede your progess. Then take a wood dowel and drive the remaining brg out of the tower. Just be sure to drive it straight out. If the new brgs are loose in the tower clean it good and use some Lock Tite. Would love to have an arbor press but no room for it. FT Happy B'day tomorrow! And Happy Anni to H&R. We had Frac"n" chicken dinner last night. Gave the kids Fric guess what they had.

Man did Donny ever get a great deal on the 9N. Glad he bought "our" tractor cause I wouldn't have been able to pass up that deal! Looks like mostly inside work today. Nice steady rain.

Rainy morning here as well, with thunder and lightening so our Irish Setter is all out of sorts, she has her thunder shirt on and gave her some meds to help her relax.

DH said he was leaving work at noon today so I shouldn't bother to go in..... guess I will use the time to get the kids working on their fair project books and maybe not even look at paperwork today

Happy Birthdays hope you guys had good ones!

SIL offered to come hang out with the kids later today if DH and I wanted to go out to eat but I think we will get a Papa Murphy's pizza and something from DQ and hang with the kids!

Stay dry!

I finally got my new baby parrotlet on Sunday! Everybody loves this bird. He is such a sweetie. My kids have decided to name him Coco. I wanted Mojo, but was outvoted. And yes, I realize my kid needs a haircut.

CC I've been practicing on my cat, who is anything but cooperative where picture taking is concerned, I expect the chickens to be about as cooperative! And I've heard about the ability of chickens to er.... fling things

so I understand why Tiki painted the background!

Thought of you last night Jim as I was watching Jeff Dunham and his jalapeno on a stick... and a reference to his girlfriend... a cucumber on a pencil

FT admire you using your Bday to try to speed up delivery! Nice as we get older that Bdays are good for something! Glad the new POA is working out so well, always nice when they are quick learners!

Tomski, Happy B'day... Bert and Ernie, cute names!

H&R glad to hear the wasps seem to be dead, I have a couple of next that need to come down, they've decided to build under my front porch, leaving that for DH, since I'm always the one to get stung. Hoping your marans shows improvement today and that the anniversary date takes place, you deserve it, working side by side for 8 years! Woooo... I can only imagine.

Tiki I just have a nice camera!

DrH, thanks for the compliment. I'm with you about Menards. My exH worked there years ago and we did get a great door that was a display and they were done with that line, so they were going to chuck it.. nice french door w/ 1/2 round window at the top, and free made it even nice. Went through hades and back when we got our kitchen cabinets though... 3 replacement doors for the pantry, every one screwed up one way or another... never again!

Storming here which put my plans for cementing the bricks on hold, at least for awhile. DH ex step son is supposed to come mow the lawn today, hope it dries out enough this afternoon. Need him to take a look at the clogged gutter by our bedroom window as well. If the sun comes out there should be some good sparkly things hanging around, maybe a few pics before everything dries up...

Having a hard time waking up this morning, slept like a rock for 8 1/2 hours, must be all that hard work and fresh air, I NEVER sleep like that! Need to drag my fanny to the shower and run over to F&F.

Til next time
Deb

BBC; BEAUTIFUL Budgie! I wish I would have gotten some cool genetic mixes like that!

Kids are watching Naruto in Japanese. Weird yelling noises are coming out of my TV.
