Well, the guy from AutoQuest is to busy to get my truck in. Said his son has the garage filled with ATV's he's working on. So back to the drawing board.

As soon as I get the truck fixed I'm going to pick up a peahen I found today online. He is holding her for me. I told him that if I didn't take it I knew someone who would, meaning you Jim !!!

He has some peacocks as well so I might think about getting one of those as well !!

Hope the truck doesn't cost to much !!!

Gotta go do horses before Dancing starts !!

How to keep a crested bird's head clean. I got the idea from a book. Next time I will use that colored tape for human hair.

I am back AGAIN !!! lost another post..

just candled 2 dozen moran eggs.. due today.. not a one of them even started to form.. beware of what you buy at swaps..

I finished the granite pile.. got much of the yard cleaned and ready for winter.. still a few things to do yet.. One more nice day like today and I should be set.. we did not see the sun today,though..

thanks for the H-radish info TerriO.. the only months withour R in them are May, June, July and August..

Had some of the H-radish for supper tonight.. It was good mixed with catsup on my roast beef..

Sandi, just how much is this peahen going to cost me if you don't buy it?

If you buy another peacock, you will be in the same boat as before, not enough hens for your boys..

I am really worn out tonight.. might even go to bed before midnight.. I would go right now, but then I would be getting up at midnight..

Bringing the truck up to a mechanic we used once before. He did a good job finding the clunk in our transmission. Was a bolt on the transmission (We had a rebuilt tranny put in once ) Did I tell ya that I will NEVER buy another Chevy truck again ! Had a Chevy cavalier once and that was ok !!!

I talked to the neighbor down the road but he is going to work in CA for 10 days, leaving tomorrow. He said the guy that the Car Quest guy reccommended gave a friend a truck to use while he fixed theirs, but it took 4 months !!! No thank you !!!

So I have to bring it there tomorrow morning at 9am. Gotta get to bed early I guess !!! It is always hard to fall asleep when I have to get up early !!!

DH is working overtime tonight so guess it is frozen pizza tonight, Mondays is alot cause of Dancing !!!

Went to close up all the coops and looks like we are loosing chickens again !!! DH has been opening them up in the morning and it is still dark !!! I am going to tell him to leave them in til I let them out later, they won't like it but tough.
I only have 2 maybe 3 if I'm lucky domnique hens and one maybe two roosters. I thought I had three but the other one is a Barred Rock Roo. I have about 3 or 4 Barred rock hens.
Looks like I lost several silkie/cochin crosses !!!!!

Yep, looks like sparks is going to stay up here, at least for a while. I might put him in with his own group of silkie hens but he his comb is a bit to large and tilts to one side, gives him character !!!

Sure wish DH was home in the daylight !!!

We basically got nothing done over the weekend other then going to town and getting the faucet changed and the dishwasher out of the truck and hooked up.

Oh and noticed tons of guineas about 20 sitting on top of the coop run !!! I couldn't net them cause I can't walk on the wet run without sliding on my rump !!

My birds from Jim and WCC are doing good in the greenhouse. Pooping good all over everything !!

ATE my geraniums that I was going to bring in the house !!!

Well, sounds like DaDa is home. Better turn on the oven !!! During a commercial of course.

Just returned from taking the kids trick or treating- have enough candy to last 5 years.....at least 2 big bowls full, will have to take a picture when DH is done checking it all.

Ready to go sit and put my leg up- ankle is done walking for now!

Those are my birds Bonnie and Sassy. You can tell my picture because of the dust on the bookshelf.

Not much happening today except after I got out of the doctor's office I didn't have time to go to the Co-op for feed. So I drove to Osseo(Stockman's stays open til 7) taking the back road, old HWY 53, as I-94 in this section is too dangerous IMO. I saw some miniature buffalo (?) , maybe they were yearlings-but quite a site for me because I rarely see any buffalo. Shortly after the buffalo I saw a pack of alpacas, at least 70( they could have been a lot of llamas but I think they were alpacas). They were all different colors and sizes and cute as buttons.

Then I saw a pheasant cock bird that was just handsome as all get out. And later I saw a herd of paint ponies (at least 25). In Osseo I saw 3 cardboard boxes with legs and a big dark brown fur man (looked a lot like the buffalo) from his neck to his toes and his face and head looked like Shaggy on Scooby Doo. He was just sitting on the side of the road waving. On the way home there were 3 guineas right on the shoulder of the road just standing there(they looked like they had make up on). And finally I saw an old abandoned farmhouse with no paint but looked amazingly structurally sound. Hmmm.

~so thats my exciting day~

Happy Halloween all! Welcome to all the new folks!

Well we have the floor in for the wood stove and 3 face cords of wood stacked and covered.... Thursday she arrives! I can hardly wait!! Yesterday, chilly and raining as it was found me dreaming of the stove and how nice it will be on those days!

With any luck I'll be heading over to Carol's for a visit tomorrow, providing nothing came up and she's still free. Last Tuesday TO stopped by for a visit and brought Elliot with. What an adorable dog! So cute DH did everything in his power to get TO to leave her here, but To wouldn't
sad.png
Here she is enjoying her visit... Elliot that is, not TO! (Don't want anyone getting confused LOL)

Still waiting on DD34 to have her baby... due date Friday... she thinks it'll be on the 3rd. Hopefully she'll have it on the 3rd, then she'll be home by the weekend and I can go down and spend the weekend.
smile.png
Have a little table and chair I'm working on refinishing for the babies room and some paintings for her sons room... he is spongebob you know and lives in a pineapple...so I had to find round wood to paint like windows with scenes from bikini bottom. Dont' want the little guy feeling left out...he's excited (he'll be 5 in Dec) about Allison's arrival, but also a little worried about what it means for him. Poor little guy.

Well, off to bed, lots to do in the next couple of days.

Evening All.... Great pics, thanks for sharing them. Sure makes the reading fun when you have to pics to go with the print.

Gosh Jim, I'm not ready for Winter here at all. I have pick-up loads of leaves to rake for starters. I must have my lazy hat on lately? You could prolly dig H-radish in the last week of Argust....
