Of course the weather is supposed to be terrible! We have plans to go out tonight!

It seems that every time we make plans to go out with friends, the weather is terrible. Going to head to Point for dinner, then come back towards home so we do not have such a nasty drive home.

I was hoping we would have more that an inch of snow over this Christmas break, the kids are dying to go sledding. At least with this storm the sledding hill will be ready for them next Saturday when we head over to my in-laws for our holiday gathering.

New Years Eve Morning To All.... Sorry I couldn't help you out with the store info in time for your road trip FT. It was County Market on South Main St, which is also south hwy 22 the road you needed to travel to get to the feed mill. Hope you made out OK.

I'm mad at county market for posting no cc signs up. I may not spend anymore money there. No guns, no $$$'S!

Me too...had to post on this page! LOL--our store posted that sign too BigZ! I actually thought it was a joke...doesnt matter to me though since I dont carry a gun! At least not to the store! And the one I carry certainly couldnt be concealed anywhere accept down the leg of my coveralls...and then I'd walk like..HA! FT!

Sure CC...if you get surplus roos I would certainly take them off your hands. I am actually getting down on roos now due to the "holiday season" and my customers loving to eat them! The man this morning told Big Red, "I will be back for you next week." LOL--I dont think he will be taking him home for dinner!

OK--I need to go outside and feed my birds...this is what happens when I get up early and have not much to do; I end up sitting on the computer for hours!

just finished mixing a batch of cowboy beans.. special request from grandson who is having a small birthday party here his afternoon.. Jan 2 is his B'day.. I think I will make a couple of loaves of ho-made bread to go with the beans.. which reminds me, I have th oven on .. I better go turn it off.. I just wanted it warm enough to raise the bread..

The first little goose is in the chick TV.. very content and quiet.. It is a Sebastopol..

Hey Jim, Congrats on the Hatch !!!!!

Bigz, thanks for the store info. We ended up just picking up the deer and headed straight for our feed mill to pick up chicken feed. We got a late start and woudn't have made it back to the feed store on time.

So for now we will bring some of the venison to the butcher in Elcho (OM DH idea) for some farmers sausage and brats. I can't believe how little meat we actually got from the deer.

Maybe on my next trip to Racine I'll detour on the way back up and pick up some of that feed.

OM went ice fishing with my BIL today. My brother and nephew are sick at the cabin so didn't go. My sister is up too, I'm afraid to go visit with all of the flu germs !!!! Guess my nephew isn't feeling the greatest today either.

H&R looks like you are going to have a New Year hatch. Did you join the New Year hatch contest here on BYC?

Afternoon All!
HAPPY NEW YEARS EVE!! Hope everyone stays safe tonight! We are not doing a thing here. We never do.

I got 9 eggs this morning so far. I have an afternoon layer so I'll find out if she took the day off a little later.
Other then that, I think the Champagne rabbit is preggers. She is off her feed but bright eyed, and acting normal. She will eat her daily bread treat so I'm thinking she has morning sickness.

She is due middle of Jan. I'm not expecting the babies to survive this being her first litter and all, but at least I'll know that the buck is fertile! DH says if he is not then Harrison Bunny gets to be the "Man" of the rabbitry! I told DH now way! Those big does will laugh at Harry and then he'll get a complex! That's all I need, a neurotic rabbit to add to having a neurotic kitten.

DrH- your "pet" name Bubba the Barbarian has stuck to that cat like glue! DH refers to him as The Barbarian now. Unfortunately that name fits all to well! I spend half my time during my chores is getting that cat out of one thing just so he feels that he then can get into 50 others....

FT-been meaning to ask forever because I just can't figure it out (probably because it's to obvious!)...OM DH? Hmmmm....I get the DH but the OM?
