Is anyone else getting this 40* above stuff? I'm not very impressed. I get sick of the piles of snow, but winter's not the same without it.

I knew I liked you Tom! I'm routing for the Lions too! Even though I know they won't make the SuperBowl, I still hope they can do it! Don't get me wrong, The Pack rules, but I have 500 little potential reasons for the Lions to win the Super Bowl. But I think the Pack is just too good and will do another back to back.

equinehugger3-I know right! This weather is interesting to say the least. I love the snow and am wondering when it will finally get here. Everyone keeps saying "it's on it's way". All I can say it "Then get here already!" LOL!!

Well, I got a call from the nice people who keep my horse for me. Apparently my mare was down and did not want to get up. They eventually got her up and she was acting all normal but I had them call the vet. I was thinking she was colicking. So, the vet shows up and my mare runs away from the vet-the Snot. *sigh*. Turns out the vet checked her over and gave her a thumbs up. No colic. Just quiet GI tract sounds. The vet gave her Banamine in case she was in pain from laying down and struggling to get up. I think the nice people caught her colic just as it started. I'm glad they called the vet out since I think if we had waited, they would have woken up to a sick horse in the morning. CA is having what I call "colic weather" Very hot during the day and very cool/cold at night. The horses don't hydrate really well when that happens so colicks increase. At least in CA. I'm not sure if the same holds here in WI.
I looked up my mares birthdate 6-21-85. She will be 27 this June is she manages to make it though the winter. She has some Neurologic issues with her hind end and has trouble getting up and down. Here is a pic of us. This is the last time I rode her and was a little over a year after my second Open Heart. I have known her all of her life. Her name is T'sai, which means Priestess in Vulcan. (Long story on her name!)

Sorry, Doc, but I really laughed at your ice escapade story. I hope you're ok. And I like your bash date idea. That way we could reserve it a year in advance. If none of the current dates appeals to most everyone, we could vote this year on a date for next year, perhaps? Like the first weekend in June or the last weekend of May, for an example.
Whoops! Just got to Bigz's bash post. I'm glad you made the call, Bigz. And you should make it whatever date you want it to be & just leave it. It's your bash. Any date works for us (and if it didn't, I'd change my schedule), and your camp is da best!

Yes, I've heard of, and eaten alot of fried cheese curds & mozz sticks. This is WI, after all.

The point of my comment was that FT always says she & OM DH should eat better, yet when she grabs a bite somewhere , she goes for fried cheese. I was having heart palpatations as I was reading.

Ok, finally got through all the posts!

Now to get ready for the game. I'm thinking the Aints, but wouldn't it be something if the Lions pulled it off? We'd kick their butts a 3rd time easy. Have a great evening, everyone. Hey there folks, been a bit since I last posted...this "spring" weather is really disappointing, so much so its causing me to cut lots of firewood that I normally would do during the spring time months. Now I wonder what I'll do when April comes around
