Oh, I can see we have the latest chicken math sufferer on our hands here, Bf4! Addicting, aren't they?

Hi all! Been trying to get my new bator set today!~CC and Bigfam were here at noon (just like they said) and CC and I for our eggs! I thought she was going to jump right out of that car!!!

Then we would have fallen on our knees to rejoice...right CC?

I used the sled that I told CC we could put a stool in for her and pull her around the farm...she declined...

I dont know what her problem was...LOL!

Guess I've been wanting some lavs for a while........

And I didn't decline because of the idea of being pulled around on the sled. It was the idea of the sudden stop alongside the side of one of your barns at the bottom of the hill that dissuaded me.

Could you use a heating pad or a heat lamp overnight to compensate for the heat difference?

And if any of you didn't already know, Bf4 is the most AWESOME person!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And TO is the closest of seconds. I love you both eternally!!!!!!!!!!

I got the eggs in the bator as soon as we got home.

SIL got here about 1/2 hour after us & didn't leave until after 6. DH had to fix her computer & install some new software. The younger DN (niece) got to play with the chickies, feed the older ones and play with the cats. The now indoor rabbit was having nothing to do with being the gracious hostess, so we left her be. She is truly a daddy's girl (grumpy). LOL! Nothing else new & exciting other than having the bator full again! Thank you again, Bf4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love ya lots!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, Now I have another reason to go back to town !!! I saw that same little Fisher Price Farm at the GoodWill store in Antigo. They have allot of those little farms. No animals in them but now I know what to do with it !!!! I want one now !!!!!

Well Ok I guess there is room for two more. After all Bf4 is going to start a Wisconsin Lavender Club where only "Cool" Chicks are allowed !!!! Gotta keep in good standing here.

Ok talking earlier about Amish Bonnets for chickens to wear with their aprons or saddles, how cute would that be to make them little cowboy hats !! After all if pigs can wear them so can chickens right ?

I actually was monkeying around with my sewing machines tonight. Want to start making aprons and diapers. Spring breeding season will soon be here and the boys will be wearing out the girls. Maybe they should be wearing helmets instead of bonnets.

Forgot to mention I pulled a Jim today. I went to add water to my bator and there was a chick that must have hatched sometime between yesterday and tonight. Little yellow one. Another Lavender split. Weird that it looks like it might be white, unless I mislabeled it !!! LOL

Beautiful little chick with vaulted skull. I like to see the vaulted skulls since it seems like more females have the vaulted skull then the males.

Oh and TO as far as I know that parsons square will work with all breeds. It can get allot more complicated then that but that is just the simple version.
You can also use that to see if you will get bowtie or non bowtie showgirls or just silkies breeding them together. If anyone wants to know let me know. I won't bother the rest of ya with all that nonsense. lol
Love having the chick TV in the bedroom !!! My Paint silkie chicks are trying to dust bathe in their wood chips !!! And the younger ones are just hilarious, I love watching them just stand their and their heads just slowly sink as the fall asleep just standing there. Sure now I want to make them little pillows but that's right your not suppose to give babies pillows. Right Old Man Joe ? LOL
I forgot that Joe was your name. It is Joe isn't it Old Man ?

Just got to thinkin, I'll have to pull out all of my props for some interesting photo sessions !!! The photo challenge is on !!! Bf4 your are in the lead I'm afraid !!

OK, sitting here trying to come up with something interesting say, ain't happening.

Guess I lead a boring life. DH did buy me a new blade for the miter saw! He even was good about asking about what kind is best for the kind of cutting we're doing.

He did good!

I got Jasmine to break her brood, Storkey is proving to be a bit tougher. That's right Jim, Storkey the Thai hen I got from you is broody! Are they good broodies and mamas? 4 of the Ameraucanas I got from you are laying. 2 turned out to be roos. I get 2 or 3 guinea eggs a day too.

Guess that's it.... night all!

Were any of the ones I brought down roosters? Just curious because one that I kept turned out to be a rooster.They have to be the slowest bird to mature I swear.

Yep, one was a roo and yea, they are slow to mature. I figured out the one from that batch was a roo because one from the first batch was and I could compare him to the one I knew was a roo and the hens. He was more roo-ish. Those are considered lavenders right?

Good Morning All! Yup Bf4 you have the illness, cute pics! FT have to ask are those porky's down town clothes or just rootin around clothes? Cowboy clothes hmmm maybe his herding get up.

Yup Joe it is. I was watching the chicks a week ago and noticed how they looked uncomfortable laying down and added the sticks they use them as a pillow. Think I'm going to start painting today, I keep finding other things to do for some reason.

Not in much of a mood for yakin, mom's not doing good again. Was supposed to take the chicks into L's work but think they're too big now. There's no way I could keep them contained. The residents weren't told so no harm no fowl.

good morning, I am spending too much time on this computer B S and getting nowhere..
If I cannot send pictures from this computer, I might as well stay with my msn dial up..

I have installed my pics into the computer , and now I cannot get to them. not even to scroll through them .

really, there is not much about this computer that I like.

all my emails and even the posts on byc are so wide, that I have to slide the page from left to right to read a whole line.

and now my daughter called last night and told us that our credit rating was not good enough to get a wireless web account.

What? we have no debts, I can go and buy any car I want , I can even go buy a house, and my credit is not good enough to get online?
and why did the people, whoever they were , contact her ? nobody contacted us..
and how is it that I am on line?

we are going to check all this out today.. I told Annie that I was not about to give a financial status report just to have this computer service. I will go without any service at all before I do that..
