Good Morning Everybody! I waited to see if I was gonna get busted on the passing off the hatching bug on CC.

Bf4 sorry to hear about Star but glad H&R could help ya out! TO that had to hurt! Especially at your age.

Those chicks look familiar for some reason. Glad mama was able to call them home! Pretty mama! Chicks are starting to feather going to raise the heat bulbs today. It's payday so have a lot of running to do this morning. FT thinking pot bellied ponys with curly tails. Dang it forgot to wish CC a HAPPY B'DAY yesterday. Watch it FT she's suckin up for somethin! Seems spring has come early nearly 50 here yesterday? Gonna be a long hot summer! Better get my lists made.

Good Morning!

Had fun playing Smear last night. We won 8 of 10 games. It's a blast having my Dad as a partner - I'm soooo lucky to still have him in my life.

Heading out to pick-up some BOSS - Menards has a sale on the 50lb bags. I'm actually picking them up from the lady that cuts my hair. She works there and with her discount plus the sale, I'm getting the bags for 16 bucks apiece. I'm also getting my ears lowered while I'm there.

While I'm out and about I'm gonna run to Peshtigo to check out the feed mill there. I've heard some great stuff about them and some of the deals you can get on their in-house milled chicken feed.

Jim - Glad to see you are getting the computer stuff worked out!

CC - Happy belated Birthday!!!!

Morning....just chased the calls off the road...dumb ducks! I threw them some corn so now they are happy in the yard. Happy belated from me to CC! Just too much going on around here to keep everything straight...wonder if the woman will show today with $$$ for the horse? I sure hope so...just had to transfer $$ to pay for taxes!

Now I need to take off and get another load of hay. At least it is OK outside and it is a nice drive...See you in a bit Bigfam! Terri O

We're incubating some blue laced red Wyandotte eggs, but it looks as though only 6 or 7 are viable.
They're set to hatch Feb. 11-12, and we would like to find a few more (hopefully pullets) to join the group, so we can have a little flock of 6 hens.
If you are expecting standard sized egg laying breeds and may have a few extra day olds to sell, could you contact us please?

Yeppers... Another road trip for me! Just remembered the kids get out of school early today too... Great! Run down to TO and get me a chick, zip back home in time to get kids from school.

New chicks name was changed. It's now named Comet. So we have Rocket, Comet, and chik number 3 will be...? Looking for a space themed named if you have suggestions!

Both chicks are still alive.

Comet keeps trying to lay under Rocket, like she's a momma or something. Pretty funny!

Morning all!!
Not much to report here. The Girls are good! They "helped" me with feeding today. For some reason they have become fascinated with the garage. They all want to check out the lawn tractor I have hidden in from them! They also have figured out which trash can holds their scratch.

Have to run errands and pay bills today, pick up rabbit food, and visit the lab I walk. Such fun!

CC-Didn't you know? 29 is the new 40ish?

DrH- Greaaaat ...just had to jinx us with a long hot summer didn't ya?!

TO-How are you feeling after your spill? Hope your ok! Good luck getting $$ for that horse-hope the lady comes through for you!

I'd go for Tuesday to accomodate any potential late comers.

I'm glad to hear your chicks are ok.

Do they seem to be acting cold? Are they parked directly under the heat bulb? It could be nothing that the one is climbing under the other. Maybe she just misses her broodmates. But you can really tell alot from the chicks if you take a little time to watch their behavior. Oh, and did you make sure they are both eating & drinking?

Astro is a good name. If it's a girl, you could always change it to Astra if you want. Or how about Aurora? Hailey? Venus? Orion? I hope you have a safe trip.

I was watching the chickies this morning for a long time. The wing feathers coming in on all the blacks are barred. Pretty neat looking. And my 2 buff babies are chocolate brown with lighter shades of brown barring. Too cool. I just hope they're females!
