I think all of the new phone chargers work to charge them and if you have a new fancy phone like a droid you can unplug it from the plug in and use the data cable!

lol I'm old school I use a land line lol my oldest DD has a cell but its just a tracfone. Thanks for the tip though if I still cant find with when step-DD visits I can see if her charger works .

lol I love the internet and my kindle but hate cell phones. lol I have paper books too, when I come across a series I really like I buy the set.

Good evening! No MLH--I meant you can have my coupon for Shopko! I dont have a Kindle--I too prefer "real books." I do listen to books on CD while driving however! Those I really enjoy if it is a good narrator. A bad one just wrecks the story IMHO. So I will bring you the coupon and you can get your Kindle Fire! LOL!

Not sure I get the "allergic to alcohol" reasons Dan...and I just want to say that if you had a chicken like Tommy then you WOULD drink with him!

We watched a very odd movie tonight. It is called "the Tree of Life." Still dont know what it was about...it had all those weird Cinematic scenes that the critics are so crazy for...but not really any story that really developed. We were all pretty surprised when the credits came on because it really hadnt said anything yet!

Well, it is getting late; perhaps I should go out and lock up...I dont think the returned chick will make it. He is lethargic and not eating or drinking by himself. Weird how some of them are like that...

I'm old school as well, I would much rather have a good heavy book in my hands than an electronic screen to read. And since I can read for hours on end, I think a Kindle or a Nook would give me headaches (train of thought here is the flicker of a computer screen...) I will keep my land line though for 911 purposes. The dispatch can get help to your house MUCH faster if calling from a land line, your address pops up on their computer (if they have that software). A cell phone they have to track you down off of towers (if you do not know the address of course).



Oh BigZ, I know you are kidding!

I went and had my twin fix today; those babies are getting so BIG! I can't believe they are already going to be one! Last year at this time their poor mamma was rotting away in a hospital bed trying to keep them in the oven for as long as she possibly could.

Nothing else to report..... finally got a run in today. My allergies were just killing me the past two weeks and made it so difficult to breathe (of course the asthma and cold temps don't help either). With the warm weather headed our way I am hoping it helps with at least one issue that triggers the asthma!

good evening.. still nothing going on with the call ducks.. am concerned, but not panicked yet..

to the newbies.. the bash is camping style.. there are also a couple of rooms with bunk beds in them.. others can give you better details than I.. don't believe anything FT says,, I do not snore that loud..

I was going to toss the other duck eggs today, but they look viable .. I will give them a couple more days.. I did candle them and tossed a few clears..

the guy with the barock roo never made contact .. I didn't think he really wanted to sell.. why don't people just say so instead of stringing you along? I am beginning to think that I should not mess around with these barred rocks..

I am tired.. guess I will turn in early..

AAAAHHHHHH! ok so IDK when my call eggs are supposed to hatch.... I got them and they had chicks already forming..... I guessed them to be a bout 1 week into it..... now that my chick eggs are 1 week into incubating I know that those call eggs were father along.... so every time I turn the call eggs I candle them to see if any are internaly pipped (the eggs are FULL, well cept for the air sac) well this morning when I candled the one looked weird, like it was pushing on the lining.. And this AFTERNOON I found that it IS NOW internally pipped! YAY!

guess I better get another brooder box set up lol. all 9 of the eggs have movement! YAY! humidity is UP! temps are perfect! should be a good day tomorrow!

ok bed time! oh and tomorrow I get to clean out the 2 week old duckling box

so about the upstairs..... My auntie had an idea..... a VERY good idea..... Needless to say I (with a Capital I) get to pull out some (most) of the 3 foot metal studs and put in wood studs.....

we're putting in built in drawers.... instead of dressers we're building the drawers into the space BEHIND where the 3 ft wall is. 8 units of drawers 3 drawers each, 2 units per kid, and in other areas we are putting in built in shelving. and by we I mean mostly ME. DH will help me build one so we know whats gotta be done then I get to use all the power tools to build the rest. I'm good with that except I don't like the BIG power nailer. I don't like that one, for one it's TOO stinkin heavy
ok I gotta go to bed, I got up cause I forgot to send DH time card in oops, It's just gotta be emailed so I'm fine. but when I got up I forgot to grab my glasses, good thing I don't need to look at my hands to type. but I can barely see the screen and now I'm getting a head ache
oh CC the only thing I CAN'T eat (in reference to the bash food) is artifical sugars (MAJOR migrains) oh and ANYTHING fatty, you won't like me.... enough said about that! actually it doubles me over in MAJOR pain, hospital type pain.

Sorry Bigfam !!!! Yep I got 2 little lavender silkies !!!! Not a good percentage but still 2 new lavenders to join my single lavender roo and my lavender split chicks. HOPEFULLY they are both little females or at least one is.

It would not be good if they were both little roos !!!

I am having camera techinical difficulites. Hopefully it's just a problem with the card. I'm going to town sometime this week and will pick up a new card. Hopefully that will work.

I was going to post pictures to tell you but _ _ _ _ _ __ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ had to act up !!!

They are tiny little things. Came out a bit sticky so aren't the fluffiest yet but still cute. Guess I'll have to clean off my table and find a teacup to put them in for a photo session !!!

We've been real busy around here. Our Belgian Mare, Beauty, is an escapre artist. Our electric fence isn't working AGAIN and she is some how getting out. It is hard to believe that she of all the horses I have would jump the fence. Well along with her getting out yesterday a donkey and Giovani the new black and white pony was out. Found all three of them in my 20 acre hayfield.
Took forever to get that little pony rounded up and back in with the others. Boy can he run. He thinks he is the cats meow, Hot Sh!t. He just shows off. If he wasn't so GD cute I'd be so mad at him...... LOL
Of course tonight we had to go fetch Beauty and Gio AGAIN. Looks like this weekend I will be rerouting some of the fence and plugging it in. ... If I'm not mistaken though I think DH said the charger wasn't working right but either way the wiring needs work. Drafts are tough on fencing.......... Hey, ride a draft it makes your butt look smaller !! lol
