Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

AAAHHHHHHHHHHH Get out the bleach and start wiping everything down! Doorknobs, lightswitches, the works! Separate toothbrushes and use different toothpaste!

Usually those types of bugs have a 24-48 hr incubation time, so if everyone is feeling good yet on Friday......

Or just disinfect your kids by feeding all of them a shot of your choice.....

Hi again....

MLH....I get the "Packer Brisket" when it's on sale. I can get 3 or more meals out of one. (3-4 adults) Part always goes to stew meat... works for me!

LOL... Jim, glad to see Annie is such a good protector/provider! Just remind her that if someone finds out she shot a deer to claim she thought it was a coyote!

Well, I was on the back deck working and heard allot of "chattering" coming from the coop. Went down and nothing seemed amiss, looked like most of them had come in to roost already then I started to do a quick count and .... hummm an extra guinea! One of the visiting boys decided he was going to have a "sleep over".

I figured when they started hanging around on a daily basis that I would wind up with them. They're before DH opens the coop, stay all day (they rarely leave the yard anymore) and hang around until almost dark. They even have been in the coop several times. Still haven't found where they are laying! I only get 1 in the nest a day out of 5 hens.

Where ever it is, no one is staying on it.

Apparently Storkey had a tassel with someone (another chicken) or something. Her head was bloody but didn't see blood on any of the other chickens.

She seems just fine. Chicks are fine. Maybe she caught a mouse.

Guess that's it ... at least for now.

I have a child who's acting like he's going to puke. If one gets it, were screwed. It typically spreads through the house over a week long period. Guess who's not coming to the bash with the possibility of pukers..?!?! Oh I hope he doesn't throw up!

With a little luck maybe it's just something he ate!

OMG!! I just checked the weather for camp this weekend! Low to mid 80's!

I thought we were doing this in May so it wouldn't be so HOT! I don't do well in heat!

MLH Ty for the info on the mites, I still think its the dust, the roo was in my basement, can mites crawl thru concrete and closed up sealed windows?? I guess anything is possible...babies are good did a good look through today and found nothing, not 1 mite to be found....... on anyone.......I will retreat though in 9 days to catch any eggs........ as per usual......... babies are loving the 10x10 coop, still won't go in the dog gloo, except to sleep during the day, I think they are afraid of the dark.............hehehe all 5 of them are on the 2nd from the top roost just inside the light from my Dusktodawn, silly babies.

Speaking of babies my 5 BO and my 10 EE's finally got here this morning ( No thanks to the post office) who were suppose to call me from the sorting facility in Oshkosh as soon as they got their, seems someone couldn't manage a phone call, so they spent 1 more nite in the mail, and I collected them in Clintonville at 7am.......... had a long day with intensive care for 1 chick, was doing the distress peep all day, finally got her to drink, and this afternoon to eat, she seems much better tonight, I was afraid I would loose her...........and she is so cute little gray and tan EE with the biggest fuzziest cheeks ever...... so adorable. will post the pictures as soon as I get them uploaded. so that was my day, later all ....Kim
Ok baby pictures

Edited 2 add pictures....... wish the red light wouldn't screw up the colors they are unique each one.....

Low to mid 80s during the day, but cooling off at night, Cind. Potentially. But you know weatherpeople. That forecast will change on a daily basis.

Better get back to packing & folding laundry. Then feed cats & medicate the Ramses. Wish me luck.

Sweet dreams, all!

Bet CC and Deb (where has she been anyway) love the weather forcast.

Not exactly sure when we are coming now. Might have to take two vehicles. DH worked on the fence again tonight but it still isn't finished. Now the POA (pony of America) was out grazing with the Belgian, Sheltland Pony and the Donkey. I thinkg even the Belgian gets herself back in the fence now but they are getting way to fat and I'm getting scared about possible foundering etc.
They stick around in the yard and on my 20 acre hay field so I'm not to worried about that. Except of course, monkey see monkey do. I'm sure glad all 11 aren't squeezing between the fence.

I might bring my ducks in their totes with brooder lights. They are such a pain in the rear to have to ask someone to take care of.

I'm not even sure I can get down to Magee's in time before they close. Spent all afternoon at the laundry mat washing and drying my sleeping bags.

Was going to give Butts a haircut tonight but can't find the scissors that I used last night !!! Geez.

So if we don't show up Friday we will roll in Saturday. DH said he would come later Friday but we'll see.

Internal pips on the eggs..... hoping to have some hatch out by Friday.

Weather is looking like it will hold for Saturday!!!

MxM, I doubt it there is anything in those books that will shock me.... and just plain silly to ban the books, it just makes people want to read them more! Of course, I only have a vague idea of the storyline too....

Nothing else to report here. Kids get their braces tomorrow.
I know you explained internal pipping or how you can tell when they've internally pipped but care to share again please? Congrats hope they do hatch out by Friday.
I talked to the teacher who I gave 36 eggs to on Tuesday. At that time 10 hatched and another 15 were pipping on the due date. Wonder how many hatched by now?

EL -- I planted, sweet onion, yukon potatoes, peas, beans, jalepinos, green peppers, zuccini, spagetti squash, pumpkin, beef steak tomato, cherry tomato, broccoli, brussel sprouts, cabbage, spinach ( I dont expect the last 4 to grow, I have no clue if I did it right but I had the seeds and was trying to use them all up). I would like to plant some corn but I'm out of room, I may just try to find somewhere else to put some.
