Lil 5 year old girl just brought me her first dislodged tooth!!!!!!!!

Shocked! When it loosened last night during dinnertime I gasped and inhaled some of my food! >cough cough cough< WHAT?! I've been telling her she has to wait a year for this to happen! This is so cool! It's like she's just won a prize or something!?! lol

Ha ha ha ha! I just saw how filthy my 6 yr old's socks were. I told him to get them off because bugs would be attracted to them. Then he looks in between his toes and sees a nice bunch of dirt. Inspiration hit: "son you better makes sure those feet dont get any dirtier, because seeds could grow in all that dirt. Then the roots will grow into your skin..." "Really?!" he says "of course! You know plants need soil, or dirt, to grow right? Well if you let too much dirt get between your toes, seeds will get in there and grow. It's been known to happen... It wasn't very pretty..."

He thinks he might want cleaner feet

I am off the hook with Brian.. He said that his brother's eggs are all cross breeds.. so he doesn't even know what to expect.. as near as we can tell, only about 10 of them hatched..

FT, I might be an old goat, but ain't I cute ??

my planter was not set level, and it made me nervous.. so I lifted it and Annie put some 2x6 blocks under the front two legs.. now that the dirt is getting wet, it must weigh about 500 pounds..
8 cubic feet of dirt plus water.. I "planted" the 4 inch pots so that they would not keep tipping over . makes watering easier..

Ok everyone ..... ATTENTION ATTENTION !!

Good homes are needed for silke chicks that are mixed colors and straight run. They were hatched the day before Mothers Day.

The clerk at the GoodWill store has them. He asked me how much he should charge and I told him what hatchery chicks go for so after talking with is wife he said $2.

I guess they are pure silkie but from all different color of parents. He said the chicks are yello (white) black and chipmonk colored (Partridge?)
So while I'm in town is there anyone that would want me to pick some of them up for you? $2 a pop straight run.

So I would say these are pet quality because of the mixed colors and since I haven't seen them I have no idea what the parents look like.

I will post a link later. Did anyone watch Nightline Last night about the Tennesee Walker big time trainer that was abusing his horses. Pepsi was the Associations sponser but now put an end to that, Oh come on now don't tell me they couldn't have know something was going on to get those horses high stepping like that !!! They not only sore them with cuts but them put mediations in the sores to make them hurt. Out of 52 horses tested, 52 came back positive for meds in the sores. GD people !!!

I'm glad I just got a coke with my dinner at DQ. I don't think I am going to be buying any Pepsi products for a while (my favorite)

Jim, you just gave me a grand simple idea for my duck brooder: elevate one end so the spilled water doesn't migrate over the whole floor. Thank you. Ducks are the cutest slopmonsters I've ever seen!

Speaking of cute, those goatlets! Been trying to convince DH that we need some to control the burdock in teh woods. And pigs to rototill some of the heavy soil. I keep telling him we need to let the animals do some of the heavy lifting around here.

Got 21 eggs in the hatcher (which turned out great btw), due today. No signs yet.
