Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Hi Everyone!!
Jeez is it hot! I'm really trying to not complain and just be glad that I can complain but seriously.....Did I magically get transported to Arizona? Ugh!

All the critters are hot and complainy as well but seem to be holding their own. The rabbits are the most worrisome.

DrH-Careful what you wish for....BTB just might show up on your door step one day. I wish I had a video camera going this morning. BTB took a swipe at Ely's butt and got a claw stuck in Ely's butt fluff.. Ely did not "seem" to notice and proceeded to drag The Bubster around the kitchen. All the while Bubba is howling because his claw was stuck and could not get loose. Finally Ely "noticed" and stopped. Luckily, Ely was in a benevolent mood since he did not sit on the cat. Eventually, BTB got loose on his own since I was laughing so hard I could not help....

CC-Good luck to Ramses...

Where is FT? Getting worried we all might have to got bust her out of jail.......

BigZ-Good luck with the Camp well!! I'll say a prayer for you guys...

Amy-LOVE the private beach! Makes me want one to stick my feet in.

BigFam-Hey I want rain too!!! Don't be a Rain Hog!!!

Well Afternoon all,

Wish I could say Good. I'm very depressed at the moment. DH walked in the house at 11am. No work. Not officially laid off but may as well be. I could sit down and cry.

On the horse front. I've been lying low.

Weekend from H3ll. I came home from the swap, (and no Vicky that wasn't me, I must have just missed you cause I bought that tank from the two woman trying to get it in their trunk) Has a crack but I'm going to use that black tary stuff that you see advertised at Menards to stop the leak. If that doesn't work it will be a brooder.

Anyway on the horse soap opera, haven't been able to get a hold of the owner. Thought she was working this weekend. So tried once more today. Her sister answered. For crying out loud she is worse then the owner.
She said the papers have her name on them and the owner can't sell me the horse. Get this she paid $1400 for the horse and now wants $2000 for him. For crying out loud !!

She is being beligerent (sp), finally calming her down. I'm seriously thinking I might have to call the authorities but these people are nuts !

Please don't quote my post. After you all readit I'm going to delete. I learned all to quickly at the swap that YES they are all related up here. It is very scary !!!!

I'm just afraid that if I file a complaint that I will never be able to step foot on the property again and see the horse.

Life sucks right about now. And would you all that have been doing the rain dance PLEASE STOP Dancing !!! LOL My garden still isn't in. May as well throw my $200 worth of seeds away !!!

Cindlady, go ahead and send Vicky the bags. I haven't made any yet. I'll wait to copy Vicky's !!!! I sent you my address long ago, was waiting for the shipping amount. But that's ok, I never sent the dvd. I will though I promise. I realized only had one copy and I had to buy more dvd's. I actually had the new dvd's in the van to bring to the bash and was going to make a fresh copy their. Never got around to it. The dvd's are still in the van !!! Geez...........

I'll tell ya, I am so depressed right now I could cry !! Gonna be a hot and humid one. Guess I'll work on the fence again today. Maybe without the peg leg on. I don't want any more sores.
Waiting for the "sister" to call me back.

Oh and the person who ran the swap loaned me a pony harness and I can go get the cart any time to borrow. Did't have room on Saturday cause I bought the tank.
Oh and the tank was originally given to someone who in turn sold t for $3. Then while they were loading it up and I pulled into the swap I said, Oh I missed out on a tank. She said you wanna buy it? I said how much. She said $10, whick I would have gladly paid if it hand no small crack. So I offered $5. The woman didn't want to sell it. Her daughter talked her into it.
So bottom line, Wave (who originally gave it away) lost out on $5.

Buncha crooks up here I'll tell ya !!! LOL

Had a real nice talk with Dan and Jim. VickyW I'll post pictures of the two stooges later so you can see who you were. And I don't think they were asking everyone if their name was Vicky or you would have known you were talking to Jim. I started asking everyone after I got there !!!!!
After you make one of those bags I'll have to check it out.
I might just bring my sewing machine outsideand make the bags and saddles (yes I know I promised CC a saddle)(haven't even made one yet) My wash Machine is broke so I can't just run down and preshrink the fabric)
Geez, did I mention I'm depressed today ?????
Ok, I could go on and on but I won't bore you all with the details. Got way to much to do.

Later

Remeber please don't quote my posts. Thanks

Speaking of Vodka, good thing I went and picked cherries last year, the cherry crop in Door County is $h!t this year. I wonder if I can make more with frozen cherries or will they be too broken down?...... Hmmmmm

I am officially a crispy critter! Went swimming with FM again today and she decided she would attempt to swim across the lake and back, so I was her spotter. She did it too!!! Apparently it is 1.2 miles for the total distance she covered... I think my arms will be feeling it tomorrow with all the paddling I did.... oh well! Good training for the dirty girl!

Off to make dinner; stay cool everyone!!!!

Thanks everyone for the compliments ;)

I am hoping to go to the amish again this weekend to hopefully find some phoenixes :)
I love the amish, they have some of the best birds! Random huh? Hahaha

However, lately they've been over pricing their bantams. Not cool hahaha

Hi Frenchie
frow.gif
so sorry you are having such a cruddy week
hugs.gif
Also sorry I missed you, I was really hoping to run into you, pooo. I am surprised that lady actually let go of that tank! It was hilarious! We just started chatting about how nice the weather was and before I knew it the daughter was trying to solicit my help in talking her mom into leaving the tank
gig.gif
I actually wound up trying to help the mom's cause after she was so set on getting the thing home. I agree about the guys asking. I know I talked to just about everyone there (I'll strike up a conversation with just about anyone that doesn't look like they will bite
love.gif
) and I visited every vendor, stood at the food table yakking with Wave, even think I had a quick word with the guys at the table. Thank you for letting me take the bags. I hope to try and make a "beta test" this week out of a Nutrina bag I have. Been a long time since I've had my sewing machine out so this aught to be interesting.

Luckily I got all my gardens in before the rains came and the coop is finished so I have a little down time before the next round of graduation parties, visiting children/grandchildren, then harvesting and canning, etc. oh crumb! forgot! since the weather was so bad this morning, tomorrow I have to go pick strawberries!

took this pic this morning after the rain. This is a pic of girls and puppy's "play yard", my herb garden, workshop/sunshed, and behind to the left is my new coop and run and you can see my my greenhouse just to the right with the garden cottage beyond. Behind the greenhouse is my bean and cuke garden, next to the left and behind the cottage are the potatoes, cauliflower, onions and brussel sprouts. To the left of the coop is the pumpkin patch. our field 20 or so acre field stretches to our woods. you can tell how sandy we are. Rain all morning, 2" yesterday, picture took minutes after the sun came out and not a puddle!

Took us years of soil building to get the gardens into good growing shape (trailers full of donated horse manure, seaweed from when they cleaned out Post lake, bags and bags and bags of compost)

Warm One here today.... just checked the fridge...I always date my egg cartons with masking tape and fresh date....i have 15 Doz in the last 15 days...time to make a trip to the neighbors and donate some eggs..it will come back in other ways for sure.

Forgot to mention that the home grown birds are best when slow roasted...figure 300 for 4 or 5 hours til the meat falls off the bone...it will even work with 2 year old birds slowly roasted a while longer, maybe start at noon for supper!....make some gravy and your in heaven...just sayin.
Different critter for sure....I love ho-made roasted birds.....fall off the bone works well for sandy's too.

Thanks for your thoughts and prayers MLH toward Camp!

Time to start the grill...brats and leftover fries in the toaster oven from FFF....gotta always be sure you have enough on Friday.
