Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

Yikes Jim. Ya know we all would like to have gotten a little bit of that rain too, you rain-hog.
lau.gif
At least you won't have to water for a while. I hope you had your rain barrels out. Everything down here is shriveling up & turning brown. Feast or famine, I guess.

Amy, you didn't bring any of that wine for us to sample at the bash? Not that I would have gotten any of that either, stupid, drunken @*&^$#@* DH!!!!!
duc.gif
Well, there's always the bash on the beach. Hint, hint.........

Vicki, wow, nice yard!

Thanks everyone for the well wishes for Ramses. He is looking pretty good today & has one heck of an appetite, for braunschweiger, that is. Don't know how good it is for his heart, but his tummy sure enjoyed it. Spoiled little beast. Jack was looking pretty good today too. He was pouting up a storm this morning, so I took him back outside before it got hot out (didn't want to shock his system). As soon as I put him down, he started calling the kids for some tasty treats he found. Lil faker. He had a bit of trouble again at roost time, but he figured it out & was up there by the time I got out to lock them up. Everyone looked a bit warm, but what can ya do? I've got 3 fans out there. I just hope that cold front comes through tomorrow, and brings some rain. I'm getting real sick of having to water everything in sight. Oh Bl4, we got no cherries this year either. Or apples, pears, peaches, nectarines, plums, pawpaws, NADA! That last late freeze did almost all my fruit in for the year except for the raspberries, elderberries & currants.

Well, that's all I got. Sweet dreams, all!

Hi All!

Hi Josh...where are you located? Welcome
welcome-byc.gif
we are a very active thread so be prepared to read allot and don't be afraid to ask questions!

Jim... hope you saved your garden and got that tire fixed. Send any extra rain this way too!

BigZ...Sure hope they can do that well without breaking the bank! I suppose hulling water in for the campers is going to coat more than you'll make too. Bummer.

CC... glad Jack and Ramses are doing better! No fruit on the trees here either and with no rain the other berries aren't doing well.

FT... glad to see your OK in-spite on everything... hope DH gets back to work soon!

dva... nice vids...Like that Thai roo!

vicki.... such a nice place! So NEAT! LOL

BBP.... Why would WE think it's weird to have chickens in your room?
tongue2.gif
Just remember to be careful taking them back out... don't want to shock them. Make the change back out slow.

I got all 3 of my gimpy girls in a make-shift pen in the coop. The roosters should leave them alone there. Poor girls... d@mn roosters!

Guess that's it for now... night all!

I just came in from feeding.. as wet as I am, it might just as well be raining..

DD#2 just got here.. I am going to try Craig's list for the puppy again.. this time I will post it in the pets section..

Just now had a call for a puppy, but he wanted a female.. he who snoozes--------looses.

today or tomorrow I will have to visit the chicken feed store.. I am down to 3 bags of layer crumbles.. I was going to pick up some at F&F yesterday, but I got there just as the afternoon storm rolled in.. I didn't feel like getting soaked so I just came home..

I am glad to have my small trailer back.. just in time,, the Blazer decided to start to buck.. Either a fuel filter or the fuel pump.. I'll change the filters first.. then a can of sea foam.. go from there..

I should take a shower, but it would be wasted.. I will prolly wait until tonight.. just be glad that you don't have to hang around with me today..

a large portion of the maple tree next to the house came down during the wind.. broke off clean, so I will have an easy job of hauling it to the burn pile..
.........jiminwisc..........
Poor Poor Annie, what she has to put up with !!!

Bf4m........... I thought that was your yard at first cause I saw the picture and you had posted....... did't see that you were just commenting on it being beautiful........ should have known it wasn't yours !!!!
gig.gif
If it was I'd be very jealous that you can take care of 5 boys and have a yard like that !!!!!!!

VickyW........ good luck with the bags, Wish I could remember what kind of thread I bought to use for the bags, can't find it cause it's been so long since I bought it. I bought heavier thread.
Your yard is georgous. Sure wish mine looked like that. I'm jealous.

Bigz..... Thoughts and prayers for the camp's well problem. So for sure they need a new one? Don't know much about that kind of stuff but if I keep running my water all day for the ducks I might find myself in the same boat (oh wait, not boat, no water
lau.gif
)
Btw, what kind of pups did you raise? I would think knowing you it would be some breed of hunting dog but I've nevefr seen them sold at pet stores. Are you gonna tell us you raised toy poodles
love.gif
or Chiuauhua's ???

Cind........hope the hens heal up fast. I know about the dang roosters.

On another sad note my 90 yr old Aunt told me today her weiner dog "Fritz" has lymphoma and with no treatment will have only a few weeks. With prednisone a few months and with chemo maybe a year. She wants to do the full treatment. My sister said it will cost $3000. She can't take it with her so why not. She loves the little guy. He is about 10 yrs old. My sister has been after my Aunt to let her take the dogs to the vet for the last year. Her poodle/bischon's and the weiner dogs teeth need cleaning real bad and one of them has even lost some teeth.
My Aunt would swear and holler about the money. So after discovering lumps all over his body this weekend and today "Fritz" the weiner dog was hiding (which to me is a very very bad sign) she let my sister take him. I've heard dogs will go off and away from the pack to die. Sure hope they can buy his some time so she can love on him some more. That is one of the main reasons she wouldn't go into a condo (which I think she still wouldn't) is because she has two dogs.
Underneath Im a bit T'd off that she wouldn't let my siste take them for checkups etc but you can't force Auntie Esther !!! Although we have brought them the vaccination clinics at the local shelter for their vaccinations and heartworm.

The crazy sister did call me back today but we were working on the fence AGAIN BUT this time we got the one paddock working
celebrate.gif
When we got done stringing a new wire and reconnecting it to the electric I told DH to get the tester from the truck that I just bought. In the mean time there was a weed hanging on the wire and grabbed it to take it off. I then yelled out to DH ..............Never Mind.......... IT"S WORKING !!! Poor donkeys, they're in for a big surprise. They got out this morning and grazed around the yard all day. When they try to pull that BS tomorrow they will be in for the shock of their life.

The poor Pigs pen was al mud today after all that rain and all their rooting. It was so cute. They also had the run of the place today and while we were working on the fence they were trupsing all over the place. Then all of a sudden you would see them go to their pen, roll in the mud and walk out and start scouting around the yard again. Their favorite thing to do is raid the chivken feeders. No wonder they are getting fattier.

Ok, Laptop is getting to hot for my lap, better let it cool down. Have two fans in the bedroom now. Our Air isn't working either but that broke last year. Geez all that chicken feed I've had to buy would buy me an new Washing machine AND a Dryer as long as I'm at it And I could have my Air fixed.... And the list goes on and on and on........ But how can you get rid of chickens........

Night or Morning Whatever it is for you when you read this !!! lol

Oh Ps Amy LOVE LOVE LOVE the pond !!!

Ok Amy... I hate the pond. I hate the beach. I hate the umbrella shielding the little boys who will play under it. I hate it all!!! And I hate that Greenleaf is 2 hrs and 40 min away... That part really sucks @ss...:p :D

Call me... Noah...

My work was canceled due to... Rain. I have some vacation time saved up so I will be OK. Those of you praying for rain can pray that it comes over your house.

On the positive side, my housing value has tripled cause I now have lake front property.

Morning everyone!

Was a little worried about Maggie yesterday afternoon.... she was acting funny, all quiet and not meandering around the yard with everyone else. This morning she is back to her normal self. I have a baby acting off as well... not eating much, doing a lot of sitting, a little more sleeping than the rest, but still following the group around the yard. I hope he is ok.

Another scorcher today! Already 77*! I am so thankful the lab has AC, but with this humidity you would never notice it.

Ok, off to work I go! Later all, stay COOL!

BTW, CC spoil that devil as long as you can....

good morning folks,

got a couple hours in the gh early,,,,planted second round of basil and worked on maters/peppers fruit setting on both

mater tip # 1,,,,with this heat, rain, and humidity they should be growing like crazy now, time to stake, tie, prune (the indeterminates) and I always remove all the lower branches(usually to the first fruit set). This keeps soil born fungi at bay,,,,and if you water with a hose/sprinkler any water that splashes onto the lower leaves will give you problems down the road. Right now is the time to avoid early blight

Had an 8'X8' ice shack given to me, need to get it home and set on timbers, this will house the pullets growing up now, insulated and finished on the interior, get some vents cut in, roosts, nest boxes should be good to go. Then some siding and paint,,,another list for me

bbl morning food calls me,,,,,,
