Bl4 for payback you could house a flock of pigeons in your back yard. They are legal almost everywhere. But they could be a lot of work and mess for not much fun. I had some at one time though they were pretty fun. Let them out everyday to fly around and poop on everyones roof.

My black copper marans Pepper has started laying! Her pullet eggs aren't even super small. Now when the heck is my EE Lady Bird going to start?! A Marans should not reach POL before an EE the same age. Lady Bird is probably laying them somewhere sneaky...

Afternoon everyone

Typical Monday here, the crazyness never stops

have been on the computer all morning trying to get showings set up and paper work done

Youngest DS(7) is in a rotten mood today- can't blame him, he took a baseball in the side of his mouth last night a practice and has 2 puffed and brusied lips, didn't take out any teeth but will be taking him to his dentist on Wed to make sure. His mouth is very sore. He has a game to play tonight so we'll see how he does.

Just in case anyone is interested it looks like we will have Lt brown leghorn bantams to rehome after fair is done July 22 2012- we have 2 cockerals and 3 pullets that we can't use as they are out of the same parents. They are all this year hatch.

Jim, it is the same as paying for a dog license. You want a dog you better get the license or pay the fine. Heck they even make you get cat licenses now......

Personally I would prefer to NOT give the city another dime......

I know all about dog license.. I go back to when it was not such a big deal to not have one.. that is what I am saying.. the younger generation was born into the system as we have it today.. those of us of the older persuasion saw the freedoms as they fell by the wayside..

when was the last time any of you under 35 yrs old had a ride home from a cop because you were not fit to drive ? (or any of your friends) ? and then the next day the cop comes and gives you a ride back to your car ? do any of you even know a cop today ? If yes, ask him where his hometown is.. I'll bet it is nowhere near where he patrols ..

There is no money in raising chickens.. why burden the situation even more with licenses ? taxes ? raising a few chickens is your right,, you should not have to jump through hoops to do it..

things have been pretty lively around here today.. I delivered 50 keets to Marlene.. picked up a lift chair for gramma.. while I was gone, Annie spotted the peahen walking with her new chick.. I haven't seen them yet.. One of the guineas showed up with 14 babies this morning.. she is inside the chicken yard with them and her rooster.. we are going to let her try to raise them.. so far she is keeping them all with her.. she led them up to the other chicken yard to feed them.. that was a hoot.. those two guineas kept about 100 chickens away from the feed so that their babies could eat undisturbed..

went to F&F and bought a new air cleaner for the tiller.. picked up some sanding belts for the sander.. I will use them for sharpening the lawn mower blades.. (on the flat sides) I sharpen from both sides ..

Hello everyone, I am 240 posts behind so I'm making a post so I know how much I need to read. Anywho I hope everyone has been staying cool. I've been crazy busy lately with the step-kids here and DH was off work last week. Hopefully I'll be caught up later. I hope everyone has a great day.

Nice Day To All.... great advice for bl4 about Madcitychickens and their ability to allow chickens inside the city of Madison...after all, if Madison allows chickens....then little wega should be able to make a change to their ancient old laws that need changing anyway....think your the one for the job bl4! Nice add to the reseme.

Hope you get the stumps cleaned up Jim. I know they can be a real pain to work around.

Picked the first zucchini of the season today....we make a tomato, onions, garlic, and zucchini dish topped with parmo/romo cheese.....I have 12 plants, so the harvest has just begun.....the big overgrown ones go to the chickens...I cut them in half and watch them disappear.

I missed your cute mug angie....where is frenchie? She didn't call me for bail money!

I caught only one pic last night. It was so close to the camera that it was blurred....prolly coon or skunk....it reached through and dug out one more...thinkin coon...gonna reset the cam for another try.

Went to shawano today for supplies...one would think finding a big container of canning salt would be a one stop thing wouldn't you? Guess again....I'm know the person running the canning isle at wallmart doesn't can. What the heck!
