Good morning to you all! Just waiting for it to get a litte warmer (sounds funny to say!) this morning before I start the great bathing adventure! I swear it took me an hour and a half to blow-dry Tommy the other day! And these ones I have to work of today are way bigger and way less tame! Perhaps I will trim their nails first? So anyhow--cooping in day for my birds going to the fair...wouldnt you know it, my Wellie roo has bumble foot! DAM^! I looked at him 5 days ago and it looked like he might be getting it and it is definitely a fullblown case today. I am goin to try and take "Little Abe" in his place...he is not a great specimen of a Faverolle but is very cute and noticeable. This may be his problem too cause he is one that I didnt test...wonder if I will get banned? Maybe I oughta just scratch? Thinking....

I was out early this morning...nothing in the traps baited with cat food...and I had my sneaky red visitor come though the yard 15 minutes earlier than yesterday! Isnt there a fairy tale about the fox showing up earlier for the grapes? Or is that the apples? I know there is some story like that.....Speaking of stories; that sure was a cute video Cind! I will have to tell MXM(the missing) about it because I think her daughter would really like it!

I too was wondering where FT had been? Had to laugh about the "In The Pokey" comment...sheesh, sure hope she didnt go and get herself in trouble! And what about the heat? Isnt her Auntie elderly and right in that heat area of last week? Oh man, now my mind is reeling with all the stuff that can happen....to any one of us unfortunately!

Well the sun is above the window so that means it is inthe dooryard aka:chicken bathing area too...chickens to be washed...here I come ready of not!

thanks everyone for your input about my broody cranky butt! Talking to my neighbor today. she may have a rabbit cage I can borrow or maybe I should just buy one to have around for emergency isolations, or we have wood and might have some wire around here someplace, hmmmmm, oh hubby,,,,,,,,, yoo hoo sweety!!!!!!

Thank you for all of your input everyone, you are all such wonderful people! I would rather change the ordinance than keep my Ducks hidden any longer... that way when I am weeding in the front yard I can have them up there helping me with the slugs and stuff. Plus I could get a chicken or two....

'Every cloud has a silver lining!" I want everyone in town to have the ability to own chickens..... I want my mom's neighbor who has the BO's to keep her beautiful hens... they are absolutely gorgeous.

Jim, I believe we have a cop or two here in town that was raised here. Same as where I grew up, those officers had been raised in the community.

Good Morning every one !!!! I'm still here !!! Haven't been on since last week. My #@#^@ %@#%#%#$ ^&%^*$^#%!*& %@%@% internet provider Celcom service is really sucking these days. I've had it for over a year and a half and for the most part it is fine. My service for my cel phone with ATT has been real sucky too. I'm on the border of no coverage !!!

Celcom said I've been bouncing between three different towers, Mole lake, Pelican Lake and Monico. In the mean time I get cut off or have no service.

Then I talk to a rep at Celcom and their reply "We never can guarantee coverage". SOoooo my question is why in the triple H3ll did I have it for a year and a half?????

I think the tourists have alot to do with it. The service is really taxed right now.

Anyway my sister, her hubby and their two daughters and their hubbys and my Precious baby (nieces baby) came up to the cabin in Monico this weekend. So Addie came to see all of the animals and her pony. DH ET couldn't catch Geovani the pony. But she watched them all run in the pasture. She loved the ducks the most and tried to feed the pot pigs.
The day before we took her to Holiday Stables in Rhinelander that has of course a stable and they have a tiny petting zoo. Chickens, goats (with a brand new 2 day old), two pigs and some dutch bunnies. She LOVED the chickens !!!! She kept bending down and saying "HI" almost like she was waiting for them to say it back, it was adorable.
I think she would have stayed their all day but my sister (Grandma) has no patients to just stand around, me on the other hand !!! lol
I'm trying to attach a video of it, it was adorable.

On other news, DH had another chest xray to follow up on his illness he had about a month or so ago. They saw something on it and wanted to follow up. Well it's still there.
Of course they can't rule out cancer but it is more of an inflamation. He had a CT scan as well. Yesterday and today and tomorrow he has to drive to Rhinelander and spit in a jar for TB tests. Had the TB blood PPD test done yesterday as well. On the 16th he goes to Wausau to see a Pulmanologist (sp) and have a broncoscopy (again sp) (to lazy to do spell check)
He has had blood clots in both lungs once and clots in one lung before that. I sure hope they are comparing the xrays to those. My personal opinion is that it is scare tissue and infection because of the inflamation.
Oh and he also has sleep apnea and uses the Cpap at night. He is very bad about cleaning it and ordering new mask etc. I finally did it a month ago when his mask fell apart and every time he would turn over the air blasted me in the face.
Plus he is suppose to be using distlled water which he wasn't. So just bought several gallons of that at Wally world yesterday. Geez, I didn't know when I got hitched 8 years ago that I was also adopting a kid !!! LOL
So I'm hoping it is just infection. I also called and told the nurse that we have parrots in the house as well as chickens on occasion (those chicks make more dust then the parrots) He didn't mention it to the doc of course. Guess I'll have to start going in to the doc like I used too !!!!

On the chicken front , we bought an enclosed two axle trailer that DH just converted into a brooder/coop for the time being. They had shelves in it already so that made good perches and then DH enclosed a shelf that is as long as the trailer for the smaller chicks. Nice cause they sleep on the front end and I feed and water on the back end closest to the door.
He cut windows in the side and on the back door. Then he built a wall on the back end with wire so we can leave the solid door open and they get fresh air.

My black shoulder Peacock has disappeared. I'm thinking the older male ran him off. Of course it is the more expensive one !!! Hope he shows up some day. We'll see. It's been about a week now.

Ok, well, I started this at 11:42am, and said Good Morning !!! Now I can officially say Good Afternoon too !!! LOL

I haven't keep up, sorry !!! I do plan on catching up maybe tonight !!!!

Oh and I went and saw Cody the horse last week. He is doing good. I called the sheriffs office. They have not pressed charges yet. I sure hope they do. It would be sad sad news if they gave him back to the owners.
Ok, sure hope my service cooperates and I can send this !!!

Just curious, if I ever do get thrown in the slammer, I have Bigz offering to bale me out, now how many cakes with files am I getting !!!!! Anyone bake Danish Layer ???? LOL

so glad to know you are not in jail! good news about the horse. Not so good about your hubby. Sorry to hear he's going thru all that. Keep us posted. Hope his tests give good news.

Let me know however if they do get you. I bake a mean "Iron" cake

If I had to buy a lecense each year, I would give up all my chickens/birds.. if you are so willing to pay to have birds, why don't you just go in and bribe someone ? there is still strength in numbers.. get a lot of people to get together and go at them en mass..

If you do not get your license, then you face a fine.. now THAT is just great !!

I am done with this problem.. do whatever you want..

Nice Evening To All... I sprayed the rest of the liquid fence I had left from prior years around the spuds yesterday....no pics on the trail cam or damage...just sayin.

I really think you need to move to the country bl4....no better time, interest rates at all time lows...I know finance...they aren't makin more land and the population is growin..the best deal is today, just sayin. Me and suzie payed 8.75 interest for 20 years...what are you waitn for?

Glad I didn't have to bail you out frenchie....although you know i would....yep the cyber crap is runney for sure. The kids are gone and one would think the stinky stuff is gone. Then here comes the provider, eh!

Gonna need to make a water run again...dry as can be here....nice white spruce that's 10 years old that I moved from camp is turning brown in the yard...gave her a drink...prolly not enough to bring her back. Years ago was the best time to plant plants trees...the next best time is today!
