Wisconsin "Cheeseheads"

What about working as a truck dispatcher? Or Police dispatch? Those are sitting jobs..... not sure about the typing and paperwork portions though.....

Have you contacted the County about possibly getting help for the water pump? Cap services????

It looks like we had a little more rain over the night. Everything is wet outside. I am so grateful our neighbors to the South have finally gotten rain. I know it was not a lot but I think I would take anything at this point.

Ok, off to the joint. Later!

Good Cool Morning All! Albeit damp. My knee says so. WOW what difference 20* makes.

Morning all!
Wow! We had a nice show last night! Lots of thunder and lightening! The wild birds are just singing away!! At least I don't have to water today!

Thanks for the nice comments on Ben and Bubba. Bubba will be one of those cats that will get chunkie. He actually is not a fat as he looks. He was laying on the top of one of the dog food storage containers and he doesn't really fit on it. He is a big cat. Not fat just big. I have to day though I can see fat from where he is though. Ichabod, his buddy, is fixed and lean as all get out. The like to sleep on the storage containers and it gets me worried in the heat. The room they are in gets hot in the afternoons and the cats don't seem to mind. If they get hot, the just go down the concrete steps leading into the basement and snooze there.

Lavender is a weird one for sure! She was wilder then a march hare when she was younger then decided to calm down and suck up to Mom for treats. All on her own. Now she follows me around, tugging on my jeans and like to be held. She hears me come outside and runs to the end of their outdoor run and cackles. Tries to get me to come over to her to give her treats. Silly bird. I actually like her a bunch and never thought she'd ever be this personable. Her sister is flighty but not my Lav. She is super friendly.

Well got some if the chores done. Weeded the garden just a little since it rained and I could finally pulled some weeds. I pulled the vast majority of the beans out and a pumpkin that died. I also lost two tomato plants but not loss there since they were not doing well. The roots were very shallow. One plant was lifted out of the ground with the wind. Unfortunately one of the ones I lost was my Fuzzy Peach....Darn...

Well, best get going. Need to take care of bunnies next.
Laters!!

good morning lots of rain here.. over an inch deep in the feed dishes. IDK if there was wind with it or not.. I was down here in my dungeon..

No DrH, I built the loader in August of 06.. the everything was new..pump included.. there seemed to be some water mixed in the oil, but it couldn't have been that much.. prolly from condensation ? I am wondering if I should purge all the lines,, and then , how am I going to do it?
I disconnected the main line from the pump and ran it directly back into the reservoir. No oil came out of it, so it is definately a bad pump..

I set about 40 more guinea eggs.. I will keep setting them until Annie's Royal Purple eggs get here.. that will be my cut-off date..

a couple of the RP turkeys out in the raising pen look about old enough to be let loose onto the ground..

The lady who is going to buy the last puppy called yesterday.. she plans on coming at the end of the week.. she is still building fences.. her new place is in the Wittenburg area.. I guess it is quite rocky..

CS - Congrats on the egg :)

Twizz - you have an awesome view !

MLH - What kind of rooster is the red one with the big tail? DH is wanting a rooster like that. And cute cat.

BBP - Sorry to hear about the ducklings

TO- wow you guys must have gotten a good storm.

Kristi- My Barred rock was 20 weeks 6 days when she started, I have another laying which I assumed was my Ancona but now I'm not getting the white eggs since the 1st one. I think she may be laying in the weeds :( anywho She is same age as the Barred Rock. I have a White Cochin, Splash Andalusian, Easter Egger, and Silver Lakenvelder all the same age as the others and they are not showing any signs of wanting to lay.

Dr. H - So far I've gotten ONE bean out of the garden lol and nothing else.

Good Morning everyone. We got alittle wet but not much. I think the chickens enjoyed it, they stayed out in the rain longer than normal. I actually had to shoo them into the coop. Well not much to report lol I just need to do some groceiry shopping and take my youngest DD out to pick out her b-day present. She turns 4 on Monday. Well I better go let the crew out so we can get moving. I hope everyone have a good day.

Picked up 3 Plymouth Rocks and 2 white chanitcleers from gneva last night. They are sooo beautiful. Waiting for everyone to get aquainted. Hopefully it doesn't take too long, I feel bad for the newcomers

Rainy day here today. Was hoping to get some outside work done, but I am grateful we have had rain everyday for the last 3 days. Thinking about putting up some peaches instead.
Hope you all enjoy your day!

Stella was exactly 20 weeks old at her first egg. I went out before leaving for work and no egg yet. I thought that chickens laid eggs in the morning? Oh well, I've waited 20 weeks I can wait a couple more hours.

We got 3.5 inches of rain so far. We are still getting some drizzle, but are expecting a bit more! I (as well as some of you I'm sure) are glad that we can cross off watering from our chore list for a day or two. Now I just have to keep a close eye on those squash vines, they will be hauling a** and taking no prisoners with all of that rain.

I need some updates. How are the chicks, horses, ducks, husbands, gardens, pumps, etc?

Quote: I guess I found the secret to getting Rain !!!! 1) Bale your hay and leave it uncovered while you go out of town !!!! 2) Work around in the yard with just your jeans on !!! (aka topless) while hoping you don't get company !!! LOL

Glad I could be of service to you all !!!

Now we need to fill the gas tanks on the mower. The grass is growing like mad !!!! LOL

Well, I got 2 hours of sleep Tuesday night. Couldn't sleep and think I finally got their at 3am only to be awoken at 5am so I could do chores then drive to Wausau for DH's broncoscopy.
I got their 1/2 late but waited in the waiting room for doc to maybe come out and talk to me about the scope. They told me they would let me know when he was out of recovery. NOPE phone rang and it was DH already back in his room.
I got their as quickly as I could cause I wanted to listen to what the doctor had to say. He never showed up. He was late getting to the clinic in Rhinelander.
So everything as far as the scope went as planned. He had no heart episodes that we were told about during the scan.

So by that time I was so tired I could hardly think straight. There was a recliner in his room and I eyed it for quite a while until I coulnd't take it any more. Get all settled into it and begin to nod off (in the mean time he's asleep). Then his IV got kinked, in comes the nurse to fix it, woke me up. Then his Oxygen machine starts beeping. This kept going on. Nurses in and out........... Then a nurse comes in and says are your ready to go home ????? WHAT???? The doc told him he wanted to keep him an extra day in case there were any complications with bleeding or ???? I think my eyes got as big as grapefruits !!!! I said Oh Wow, I'm so tired I don't think I could get him home safely !!!
Long story short you know how long it gets to get the paperwork set up to discharge you. Then he was so hungry they said to order lunch for him. That took another hour or so cause he couldn't order until after 11am. So I was able to maybe fetch about an hour or so of sleep. Dang those beeping machines.
They put a heart monitor on him and he will wear that for 3 weeks.
AND get this. He has to go back to see the cardiologists and the pulmonologist in A MONTH !!!! So basically we are where we started. Had the bronc done and won't know what it is until they get the biopsy's done. WHT !!!! You can bet I will be on the phone asking for the reports.
I said I thought for sure the doc would have come in after the procedure and as least let us know what he "thought" he saw or to confirm his suspicions ??????? Guess he was in a hurry to get to Rhinelander since I think the Bronc was an extra thing on his to do list that screwed up his normal Weds schedule.

That doc is so funny. I guess he told the nurse to make sure she buckled DH on to the table. He said, don't want him falling off...... Way to much paperwork !!!
gig.gif

DH is sore from the gig chunk they cut out from him but other wise not "sick" so to speak. The doc did say to him before the procedure that if this is the bird ilness (don't remember what he called it) You'll have to get rid of your parrots !!! DH said yeah I know... Well the doc doesn't know that 1) I'd never get rid of them. They'd get moved to a different room in the house or something that DH wouldn't be allowed in. I'd get tons of air filters and go from there. But what he really doesn't know is that I have my silkie's in the basement and know that I have chicks in the house.
I would part with all of them before my parrots.
I can always get one of those old fashion scuba diving bubble helmets and make him wear that right. Fit it with hepa filters?

Hopefully is it sarcoidosis rather then the bird sensitivity. Then theirs always the Lymes disease that he talked about. Think thay may be a cause for the heart problem.

This waiting game really Sucks. And of course with a weekend coming up any kind of health problem is put on hold. Reminds me of when I was going thru radiation. You know cancer doesn't grow on weekends or holidays. No radiation scheduled on those days !!! lol
'Still catching up on yesterdays postsl
