Hi, We have a beautiful peacock with a 5ft tail who has chosen to live on our patio and yard. The owner lives over a mile away and does not care to come get him, nor does he want him back. Three of his birds...

Wondering if anyone around here would like to take him home with them? I live up around the Shawano area so if anyone is interested, please let me know.

Evening All... I think Dan Powell is taking time off from the brahmas, I could be wrong..please let me know if I'am.

Busy here this time of year....the maters love this weather and are running right around one pound each...perfect skin and sweet as can be.

I have the same problem as you TO. The fox grabbed a year old buckeye hen yesterday, and today around ten this mornin while me and suzie were workin in the gardens the alarms went off and a mere 100 yards away the fox had our favorite blue ameriaucana hen....must a been a good fight, the pile of feathers was huge. I'm having trouble with either my mouse or keyboard. The eyes are terrible right now...next week is suppose to be a fix for seeeing..I'll be the judge..welcome to the new folks...and hope you visit often....glad you are lookin into savin the harvest amy....your OM is a lucky feller for sure!.... bigz

Hi all! WHat a crazy day! I had to be at work at 8 so I got up at 6 and got all the critters fed with some help from DD20. I dont much like doing chores in a rush cause I always seem to miss something important! Watched the man I take care of--bad incident happened but I wont comment--

HIs wife got home and I did my errands and the headed out to see MXM---yup, she is alive and well and so it her fam...not so with her old barn and silo! THey knocked it down with help from H&R's fam. Made me sad as it was a great old barn!
So we are visiting and I get a call from my client. She was down puting laundry i and my man got up and fell!

So I was supposed to be there tonight from 5-11 sitting with him again so she could go out and play Euchre. He is at the emergency room now...I sure hope nothing got broken...he has only been home since Friday!

Congrats on the trapping Amy! I got nothing again! I did hear the birds having a fit last night early, and went out to find a really chilly chick a long ways from it's Mama. It was on it's back with the legs stuck straight out peeping like mad! I brought it in since I still have chicks in the TV and added it. I had to brace it between the glass and the feeder. THis morning it looked good and now you can hardaly tell it from the others! Yup, sometimes it works!

I really wanted to get some work done in the garden tonight since it doesnt look like I will be going to my clients' place....way too hot--I think I can only sit! I actually was looking forward to being there from 5-11 because they have a kick-***** air conditioner! Oh well...

Nice pics of garden pickings Amy...I think I saw it on FB when I was on at MXM's place. I still have on ly picked one tomato...thinking about making some GF bread for BLTs soon, my fave sandie!
Later all! Terri O

(PS) I hope you get your fox Bigz...terrible feeling watching it happen and there's nothing you can do about it!

Good evening everyone. I wish the rain would decide what it wants to do, its been spitting here on and off. I took a walk around the property tonight and found a bunch of blackberries coming back to life. So I picked a peanut butter jar full and gave them to the chickens and ducks. Boy they liked that, Po my pekin duck was right up next to me like I was her best friend lol. Normally she doesnt get within arms reach. :)

On the chicken front ....... I'm looking for a Brown Leghorn or two for DH. :) I don't care about the age, I just was looking to surprise DH since he had to butcher his rooster for attacking our 4yo.

Other than that, not much going on. It was so humid today everytime I started cleaning I ended up covered in sweat. yuck. I'm glad it seems to be cooling a little. Well everyone have a great night.
Bantam or large size, we have a couple extra light brown leghorn bantams that we need to rehome.

CC- I'm still here, we had fair last week and we are super busy getting units clean, fixed and ready to go for Aug. 1st- have about 8 to get ready and 2 of them will need a bit more work than the others and of course the ones moving out are moving out on the last day of their lease and the new tenants want to move in right away- go figure! So I do read each day but not much energy to post :)
