Oh Ghost... Terri's got a couple hundred birds between chickens, guineas, ducks, geese, pigeons... Umm I think that's it for birds OUTSIDE. Don't forget the birds inside! And then there's her goats (what? A half dozen?) and the horses... You got any Llamas or Alpacas yet Terri?

I think she needs an emu, or two...

you forgot 2 kinds of quail

Emus would be cool for Terri to have. I vote yes for Terri getting Emus.

HAPPY TURKEY DAY EVERYONE!!!

Delisha, Jim's dog is a Maremma.

Cind, I know how you feel!

That's all I have time for. Don't eat too much!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Two cherry pies are in the oven and the bread dough is in the machine getting batted around. I am on coffee cup #2 and I have finally eaten my breakfast. Time to hit the shower.

Enjoy your day everyone and stay safe!

Gotta get the spiral ham going, looking forward to a day with the family and some good eats. Hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving day.

Happy Thanksgiving to All !

As George Washington said in 1789, the first Thanksgiving: "both houses of Congress have, by their joint committee, requested me to recommend to the people ot the United States a day of PUBLIC Thanksgiving and Prayer, to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many and single favors of Almighty God, especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness".

I am thankful to and for God, my family and friends, this Country and for my job and many blessings. I am also thankful that this forum is here for those of us with a fun and practical hobby in common. I hope we all focus on our many blessings and are thankful even when the negatives try to draw our attention. That is usually a daily choice anyway....of course not as easy a choice during super good or super bad (God, forbid!) things. May your choices to be happy and thankful be easy and your reasons many. Especially today!

Good T G morning..

I started the turkey in the Nesco at about 1 AM.. then I mixed up a batch of dressing..

Then I had a brew and decided I was tired.. So at 35 minutes into baking the dressing, I turned the oven off, added some water to the turkey in the Nesco and went to bed.. got up at 8 AM to the wonderful smell of something cooking.. the turkey was fork tender and the dressing "coasted" to doneness as the oven cooled off.. the taste test was succesful.. (again) ,,

Annie came home with breakfast (do-nuts).. I ate only two glazers,, gotta save room for the bird.. we will be eating at about 1 ..

Annie is in the kitchen mixing up some pies.. Lemon for me,, prolly pumpkins for the less discerning..

I am going to try to send my pictures d'jour.. only on a different post.. I don't want to lose this one..

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYBODY!!!!

So, I've lost track of when I last posted! I wish I could say why but I can't! lol!

Every one here is great and DH is doing fabulous!
I have some Coop Drama. I either have a rooster or a hen that crows......No one is looking overly rooster like but I have some ideas. It is either a BR Or a SLW. Might be the Ameruacana but I don't think so. So one has overly rooster like qualities yet.

Well gotta get going...family calls
