Do you wear them for a while? Are they for a specific purpose or you just like wearing them?

I love them always have, I don't have anyone local that can install permanent ones for me unfortunately or I would have them done. But I will wear them for 4-6 months at a time then clean and reinstall them. They will last for years if properly cared for. I have strong Nordic roots and this for me makes me feel more connected even tho there are those that quarl over viking/faerie locs Yada Yada 🙄 my mom calls me a hippie 🤷🏼‍♀️

Why don't you grow your own dreadlocks? It's very easy and there are so many ways of doing it. There is the ugly period where it just looks a mess then one day you magically have a head full of unique dreads.

Oh I see. The first 10 years that I had dreads I maintained my own than I went 100% free-form 7 years ago. I never really had anyone to work on mine around me, just a bunch of chicken farmers and hillbillies lol I would have gone free-form from the start if I could do it over, I've learned to love the thick tango dreads and random fuzzies. ( a yarn needle and small hook that can pull hair through the eye of the needle is all you really need and you can do your own dread maintenance)
Oh I want to but I don't have help to fix them lol if I had someone to help me tighten and lock them up I would

I think my biggest issue is losing my length I've worked so hard to get my hair long. It's never in my whole life been this long lol 😆
