During the day, no body left --> fox or coyote.
Are these animals native to your area?

I am sorry this happened...don't fret...when you're ready get another bird or two and keep them housed in something more varmint-proof...is that possible?

Yup both are native, but I think a fox would be sneaky enough to go right up to a house and run off with a bird like that.

It's been a few days and the anxiety hasn't left. Killing a wild animal isn't something I want to do, but I feel like I have to for closure and a peace of mind.
