Hello BYC community! Very excited to be here!
We are crop farmers from Iowa, with a homestead full of love for nature’s greatest gifts
We have 4 German Shepherds, 2 horses (saddlebred and a QH), an abundance of other wildlife & now, 3 ducklings have joined the crew
We have a 7 week old Pekin named Mango & two 1 week old runner ducks - A chocolate named Coconut and a blue named Fig. I’m hoping this community can be an assistance for all my duck questions and to expand my knowledge, as I’m a newbie to the duck world!
We are currently expanding/updating a large garden for the ducks to free-roam. I’ve found a lot of info already on BYC about successfully keeping ducks in the garden and I can’t wait to accommodate the ducks in ours! Our oldest duck, Mango, has been an absolutely blast
She has such a big personality & cracks us up! I’m hoping to make a post on my questions about her soon.
We love our farm life & our ‘barnyard’ we have created. In our spare time we are almost always finding ways to update our 1950’s property, gardening organically, riding horses or just spending time enjoying all of our animals
