Wobbling Hen

her crop feels firm and full this morning - what does that indicate and what should I do?

OK - I found info on impacted crop, heading out to massage my girlie and see if we can get this to pass.

I just massaged her crop and she was totally calm and seemed to enjoy it - I put her in a separate pin inside the coop with only water. Hope we can get this to pass. She free ranges in lots of grasses and she may have just gotten a wad of it stuck in there. Which explains the watery almost no solid poop I saw yesterday.
Glad you figured the crop part out:)

An impacted crop can make them feel bad, hopefully that is her main problem. Massaging it can help, so you're doing good. I usually also give about 1tsp of coconut oil to see if that helps break things up. I put the oil in the fridge/freezer to harden it, then crunch it up into bite size pieces. My birds will gobble that down.
If the contents don't move on by tomorrow after you have massaged several times today and given oil, you can also try giving 1 stimulant free stool softener. I've had good results with that or if you have tomato juice that may work - just depends on how hard/impacted it is.
Crop conditions can take several days to clear, so keep working with her.
