Wobbly Duckling. Need advice ASAP

Oh. On a side note: when the duck was laying on my chest, she was literally vibrating. It was rather crazy. She wasn't cold (between me and the towel I wrapped her in, she was definitely warm), so I'm wondering if that's normal or perhaps another part of this issue. Any thoughts?

It sounds like all is fine with your girl. The "vibrating" you described is something that I've seen/felt many times with ducklings when they are separated from their group. Quite normal. In the photo you posted she looks alert and very healthy. If it were me I would keep her separated for one last day just to make sure all was okay, but then I'd let her get back to her flock.

I did just that. I put her back with the rest of the flock last night, and they're all now out of the brooder and into their permanent duck house. They were all very chatty with her. And I stayed and watched to make sure she had space at the water and feed. Everything appears fine now, so I'll just chalk it up to needing a little more TLC. ;-)

Aww, so no house duck. I'm sure your wife is thrilled!

Dogs were here first, but the cats were kittens, so they know not to run and they won't be chased.
I adopted my cat, Bella, when she was 7, and that was a good 5 years or so before I moved up here to the farm. She definitely has dibs. ;-) At some point, I'd like to welcome a dog to the farmstead, just so I have something who can guard the flocks when I'm away.
