I had to hobble some of my goslings this year and used something called "Tender Tape", also known as Nexcare No Hurt Wrap, or Coban by 3M. If you get the generic Tender Tape, it's a lot cheaper. It's 1" wide, stretchy, and sticks to itself...easier to put on than a bandaid and easy to get off and/or adjust because there's no adhesive sticking to squirmy gosling legs.

My goslings tolerated it just fine. The only time I had a problem is if I got the space between the legs too narrow, then they had trouble stepping on their own feet. Keep trying. Once you get the spacing right, they seem to settle right into it once they realize the hobble is supporting them.

I've tried all kinda of stuff on floor chicken wire, dog peepee pads, towels seem the best with bumper pads and making the area small.
