Woke up this morning to 3 tiny ginger breasted ROE chicks!!!

I got 9 ginger breasted red old English bantam eggs in the mail. Most air cells were detached to about 1/4 or so down. I ended up with 6 developing to day 16 and then one died so I had 5 set for hatch. One died upsidedown and one died for unknown reasons. But I woke up this morning to 3 beautiful lil chicks!!! They are the tiniest babies I've ever seen with enormous feet compared to their size! I have one very nice quality call duckling that is due to hatch any day now and I'm so worried I won't know when to help it. The parent stock have tiny bills so hopefully it's in the right position to break through the membrane so I can help after that. There was another one and that one was upsidedown also.

Oh that's so cute. I had a lone boy call and even when he went outside with my 2 lady geese, he followed me everywhere I would almost step on him all the time because he was always right under foot. The call didn't make it. It was completely upsidedown and had a deformed leg. I have over 2 dozen in the incubator still along with runner ducks too. The ones I just set last night are the same very nice quality calls which makes it so hard with their tiny bills and the lady does not ship them well so their air cells are the worst I've ever got. She gave me extra along with a bonus black east indie!!

Here they are tonight. Two are lighter colored with two small blackish dots on their heads and the other has a dark stripe on its head and darker down too. You can't tell the sex with color on OEGBs can you?

Sex on them would depend if any of the parent combinations are sex-linked. They sure are adorable!

They get their baby wing feather shoots so fast! So tiny too. We are all madly in love with these babies!
