Interesting issue. I'm all for bringing back the wolves but, who the heck thought that the wolves with rather go through the trouble to hunting wild animals versus taking livestock that are just sitting there? I mean really?

Sad story. That was a good and valuable animal lost that should have had many more years ahead of her. I have to say I am not at all for reintroducing wolves. This country is not the same country it was 100 or even 50 years ago with enough wild, open areas and prey for this type of apex predator. And sure the environmentalists are going to claim that wolves would "rather eat their natural prey"! I want to know who sat down and explained to the wolves what constitutes "natural" prey! Ridiculous. Wolves are like any other predator, they will take what's easy and/or available. And as of right now livestock owner's are not allowed to protect their livestock when faced with an attack.
