Zoe stood and moved in front of Mar and Tara

Soul Fang remained sound asleep, worn out from his rounds and lack of sleep.

Obsidian arrived in camp and spotted the three females. His fur bristled, and he spoke in a near-whisper, "Where am I?"

Mar watched him, scared. She hoped he didn't try to attack.

"Soulclan territory. Who are you and what do you want?" Zoe asked

"I am Obsidian, of no clan, and all I want is food." Obsidian could smell the carcass; it was close!

Dawn sighed"She told me about the battle,I won't fight against the clans but I'm not going to fight against shadowclan either."

Raven nodded and said,"I guess the battle can't be avoided."

Dawn nodded"I'm sorry,but it's just too risky."She said quietly

Mar slowly stood up. She walked over to Soul Fang. "Soul Fang?" she said, trying to wake him up.

Soul Fang was slow to rouse, having been lost to REM sleep. He heard Tara then Mar. "What is it?" Obsidian's scent reached his nostrils. "Stranger!"

The alpha male emerged from his den to confront this new wolf. "Who are you?"

Obsidian growled. He'd already introduced himself. "I am Obsidian. I have no clan." He went to his stomach. "Is yours in need of members?"

"Fine." Soul Fang took a moment to mark the outside of his den then went about remarking everywhere. This new male would know who was boss.
