Nira settled down under the rock.

Iceheart began to speak"As you all know,the battle against shadowclan is tomorrow.Some wolves will be lost,but in the end shadowclan will fall."She said,her determined eyes scanning the clearing"It has been a long time since iceclan had a beta,but I think now is the time to appoint a new one."

Red sat a little further away from the wolves listening.

Nira listened,she knew the obvious choice would be Pike.

Doe watched, wondering who it would be

Bramble barked and jumped away from her,growling playfully.

Dawn smiled,she was glad to have Toby as a friend.

Ebony jumped to her feet and leaped at Bramble.

"When do you think the other clans will attack?" Toby asked.

Pike listened to Iceheart. He didn't know who would be the next beta. Everyone in Iceclan seemed to fit the position well, but he hoped a little to maybe be it.

Darkfrost shrugged"Ok,she can be."


"The new beta shall be Nira."She announced,flashing Pike a sympathetic glance.
Nira was suddenly frozen when she heard Iceheart. She couldn't believe what she had just heard.
"Also,we have many pups that will soon be apprentices."She smiled"Jaman,you shall be Jet's mentor.Pike,you will be Bramble's."She annouced

Pike looked at Iceheart with understanding eyes. He dipped his and trotted off to Bramble. He was slightly disappointed not to be beta but didn't take it to hard. When he walked past Nira he said, "Congrats on being new beta."

Shard dipped his head to Darkfrost and went to go tell Addie.

Dusty gave his sisters a gentle nudge"Cheer up,it won't be too long."He said.

Rosie slowly made her way over to Doe"Excuse me,but I was wondering if you could be my mentor."She said quietly,her voice barely audible"I want to be a healer."
