Raven still pursued Shard. She had just crossed out of clan territory and just about gave up hope never to find him again. She continued running but realized she was lost and didn't know the way back to the territories. Shard then crashed into her and growled,"You fool. You feel for my trap and no one is here to save you, Raven." She growled at him but he had her pinned. This is the end, Raven thought and had given up and waited. Shard bent down to kill her. A loud yelp rang through the forest. The victorious wolf stood over its foe.

Addie saw her chance and locked her jaws on Maple's throat.

Maple struggled, trying to get bite Addie, but saw no use.

Shadow finally broke away from Bruce and ran to his dying sister's side."Dawn?"He whimpered and nudged her gently.

Toby glanced at Shadow and Dawn. His heart sank, Dawn was the only friend he had. He ran over to shadow "what can we do?" Toby asked hopefully.

Shadow whimpered"I don't know!"
