Thorn trudged out of the den,mud rising up to his shoulders.After a few slips and falls he finally made it up the slippery hill that had formed at the entrance of the den.

Raven clawed her way out of the den and onto the hill. She shook her pelt trying to rid some of the mud and water.

Thorn looked up ahead, ignoring the light drizzle of rain getting into his eyes.His eyes widened when he heard a loud crack of lightning and it struck a tree on a distant hill.The light only lasted for a second but he could see the smoke and sparks fly from the impact.He had to squint to see flames starting to flare in the darkness."Forget high ground!We need to find someplace safe from the fire! "He exclaimed,panic in his voice.

Raven laid her ears back in fear. The safest place she knew would be the mountains but they were to far away. She wondered if Shard was even still here.
