Wolf Roleplay

Kiko nodded. He wondered if there were any herds of deer nearby.
Soul Fang pranced eagerly around Kiko and Soul Claw; the latter gave him a dirty look. Too happy to care what his sister thought, he parked himself suddenly, threw his head back and howled his excitement.

"Ignore him," Soul Claw said. "He's always that way." She snorted. "Good luck hunting with him tagging along. Send him to do something...please."

"Well, I won't deny him the right to hunt. He can hunt with us." Kiko said.

"But...we're not going to find anything with him howling our location everywhere." Soul Claw looked ahead at Soul Fang. He'd finished howling and had bounded several yards ahead. Currently, he was busily marking a small bush, just to let passing wolves know he'd been there. "He's so darn cheerful," she complained.

"And what's so bad about that?" Kiko asked.

(well, apparently, sometimes I forget to quote the reply)

"There's such a thing as 'too' cheerful," Soul Claw said. She paused a moment to leave her scent on Soul Fang's mark to let the passing wolves know she was more important than him. Continuing, she said, "I'm too hungry to listen to Mr. Happy Howly. He'll scare away all the prey."

"He's just excited." Kiko shrugged.

"He's excited all right." Soul Claw lowered her head to the ground and sniffed. Over the choking scent of super-happy he-wolf, she could smell the faint odor of pheasant. It wasn't big game, but right now, she was too hungry to be choosy. "Okay, Kiko. You go with Happy Wolf, and I'll go around this way. Maybe I can flush something out."

Not waiting for her alpha's reply, she veered away, heading down an old game-trail.

Kiko walked to where Soul Fang was. "I know you're excited, but calm down, I don't want all the prey to be scared away." he said, politely.
