Women in the military

Getting shot would be the least of my worries. Maybe us male civilians should stock up on chocolate just in case.

Nope, open up an espresso stand and shoot them while they wait in line.

I agree, in part. The DoD recognizes two reasons for fitness requirements.

The first is overall general health and body composition. The need for a healthy military is obvious. Body composition is related to public perception, a military member should look like he or she is fit. These requirements are generally met by service-wide standards.

The second is for physical accomplishment of one's occupational duties. Above and beyond the general force fitness standards this is usually accomplished by additional MOS specific requirements, either enforced by specific standards or by general job accomplishment (if you can't do the job, then you are out).

Service-wide requirements are generally in place for overall health of the force and only serve as a baseline for jobs requiring increased physical fitness.

Oh how I love to torment the opposite sex, but-- My lil' Sis in in the Navy, and I am very proud of her and them. The enemy is lucky that she is in the medical field instead of combat.

One thing that has help change fitness requirements is the military got in trouble from discharging retirees in poor physical shape, high BP Diabetis, heart disease from the diets they had, they were/are spending a fortune in healthcare for vets in diet caused illnesses.

Okay now we're just going on with sexist jokes. I mean really, if we're going to think that stopping an army full of women is as easy as throwing spiders and offering chocolate well sheesh, then that means stopping an army of mean means giving out beer, x-rated magazines, ready-made fat-saturated meals, and unlimited free television, right?
