I've never had a problem with toilet seat up/down thing. I grew up in a house with 4 "men" so it was almost always up.

I figure, if he can expend the energy to put it up, I can expend the energy to put it down. I've never given any guy any grief over it.

I promise to leave the toilet set down.
If you don't gripe about a wet seat.

This, I can't handle, so I never gripe about the seat up. I'm much rather he put it up and I know it's always safe to sit on.

I think the top should always be closed. I have a 2 year old and I dont want her putting her hands in it. So I always have the top to raise too. So I ask that hubby close it to. But he wont. And yes he wont even raise the ring. He stands and doesnt care it it gets on the seat. So I have to even make sure it is dry.
