Wonderful Dog breeds..Past and present..

I'm trying to help these people so they don't return the puppy..They claim to love him so I hope they accept my help..:fl
They want to have kids in couple of years....They won't be able to return the baby when it does something wrong..:gig
Ha! I've tried and it definitely doesn't work! Kidding!!
But seriously... they sound like the type that will just try to get rid of him once the kids come. Itll be Something about how they dont have the time.... or the dog nipped when the unruly toddler pulled its tail

You are being super nice to help them learn how to live with a tiny ball of baseboard destruction.

My first dog was an American Staffordshire. I had to bottle feed her for 3 weeks. Yup she was my pocket puppy she was so young.
As she grew into an awesome dog we had challenges.
She took to destroying anything that the kids fought over.....yup video games, controllers, systems, the phone and toys.
We added it up at one point. It was an astounding 10,000 dollars in damages over the course of 5 years.
For whatever reason once she hit 5 something clicked and she never destroyed after that.

My current Pitsky has not even destroyed a toy. Such a difference.

My big guys (weimareiner mixes) chewed sofas.......Not their fault really.
Our step nephew was living with us.....I caught him using the sofa arm as a napkin.
:barnie He was scenting and seasoning the furniture!

I know you know dogs will eventually destroy something. ;)

The baseboard chewing had me thinking of all the stuff mine killed.
A baseboard seems so insignificant. :p

I have always loved standard poodles. Yours is so pretty. Unfortunately it is the one breed my husband doesn't like, so I agreed to no poodles as long as he agrees to no beagles.
Thank you!! She is really a good dog and very smart.. it’s like they understand you when you talk to them... they listen and think about it.. that’s what it looks like anyway:lol:
And she is the type of dog that is NOT demanding! That’s the kind of dog I love as I really am in love with cats! We’ve always had Labs... my hubby is a hunter.. and Labs are extremely demanding... so we decided on a different hunting breed this time and what I’ve concluded is that it’s just ALL hunting dogs!! This is his new one... Boone.. he is a Boykin Spaniel... cute as the dickens but whoa is he obsessed with my hubby!
