I saw an ad on kijiji for Maremma puppies. He was the last. We drove almost 2 hours to see him. I was shocked at the place , animals and him. My Husband wanted to turn around and leave. He pulled me to the side and said let's go. I would not leave without the puppy that was totally emaciated and full of worms..Took him to a Vet that quickly thought Parvovirus and I knew it was worms. Treated him and he almost died but we kept up with his special care. Now he is an almost 5 year old Boy..He watches over my yard, Birds and me..:hugs
He is my heart...:frow

I am glad you have him too. :hugs

My now old guy was very sick when we got him and his brother. (They both were very sick)
Pulling them back into health is hard but worth it.

Wow, that's so sad! I hope those people are not still spitting out puppies. Should be far stricter punishment for such things.
I feel like we find things like that for a reason. You were his angel, and he's probably been yours as well. I know my girls have saved my sanity a time or twenty.

Definitely and he doesn't or didn't know he was sick and tried so hard to get up and try..He hasa bad curve to the lower part of his spine and a bit weak in the hind. Although he made it to 5 . His birthday is next month...:hugs
Vets were not sure he would make it to 3....:idunno..Surgery is an option but we won't do that to him..:hugs

She actually worked for the county I was in to pick him up..as a Dog rescuer and I reported her...:thHe lived in a pen with mini horses.
