This handsome fellow showed up one morning atop the coop and adopted our girls. He's been here every since. He is calm, tame and seems young, but I have no idea! I'm new to this chicken thing, but I do love mine!
Can anyone identify a specific breed? Any idea how old he is?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Would any other pictures be helpful, or does this show the important things?

Maybe DTChickens (Daniel) will find his way to this thread and correct me if I am wrong, but looks like an oriental game crossed with American game. He is more than likely less than a year old.

Could be.. I'd say maybe even a pure American game but he has the head and short beak of an Oriental, not to mention the small wattles. I would guess in the one year range as well.

Thanks so much guys! Now I'm wondering where he might have come from. I have 4 hens; a rhode island red, a buff minorcan, and 2 americaunas. I really just want eggs and a few meat chickens later on down the road. Can I allow this rooster to make babies with my hens?
