Wondering if anyone can tell/guess the gender this early.

I have two Mille Fleur bantams and I would like to know if anyone has a good guess as to the gender of these two. My very uneducated guess is that the lighter one is a hen, and the darker one is a rooster.

I think you are right! lighter one no comb development, second one big red comb roo all the way!

Thanks! Although you may have just disappointed my youngest daughter, lol. The lighter one is hers and the darker one is mine. She wants hers to be a rooster.

How old are they? I ask because we have one mille fluer d'uccle and I am eagerly waiting to determine the gender. Mine is only about 3 weeks old now.

We are guessing they are maybe 5-6 weeks old.

Still somewhat of a guess, but I think you are correct about their gender.

I would have to agree... One pullet and one roo. BTW, the color is mille fleur and the breed is D'Uccle.

Quite a few hatcheries sell D'Uccles but list the breed as "Mille Fleur" and "Porcelain".
