Wondering if my experience with these breeds is typical...

I think Silkies are a very calm and we'll behaved breed! And in my experience light Sussex and Blue Austrolorp are also really nice and calm breeds. My French Cuckoo Maran and Austrolorp mix are so friendly they wanted to hatch some babies this summer!

Where did you buy your light Sussex? They are difficult to find.

Where did you buy your light Sussex? They are difficult to find.

I've gotten them from 2 breeders in the past. One in Germany who has an amazing flock of genuinely very high quality birds and another breeder from my region of Italy who has quite a nice flock of birds as well although not as high quality. I got the ones from Italy in person but the ones Germany were sent to me as hatching eggs
