Hi Rachel, not sure of their age but I think they are young, I bought them around September and they were advertised as 'Point of lay' one of them did lay quick and laid perfect medium sized eggs, then another one started but her eggs were soft shell.
She has laid 2 eggs that were good but the rest soft or very brittle, I've caught some quick and broke them in a dish but some I wasn't so lucky they were a mess in the nest.
I only have 5 hens and the other 3 are not laying, I'm hoping they will in spring.
