Actually, Martins hunt squirrels, mice, and birds, along with fruit and insects. Deadly treetop predators.

AMERICAN MARTIN Martes americana
A large reletive of the weasel with dark glossy brown fur above, paler below, often orang or buff on the throat. The den is usually in a hollow tree, or in an old bird's nest. and 1-5 young are born in the spring. Found mainly in the N of the contenent, rangeing S to NY and New England in the E, and from AK through the Rockies, in northern CA
