Was told it was a star but looks more like a marans from what ive been told so far

Wrong leg colour for Marans. Star isn’t a breed, it’s probably a hybrid nickname, so I’d guess she’s a hybrid derived from Marans.

Could be one of the Midnight Majesty Marans- it's a sex-linked, high production Marans 'type' chicken. Apparently they leg darker brown eggs- not Marans dark- but not even some Marans lay truly dark eggs!
