Here is our sweet roo, Joe. Does anyone know what he is?? He has more green than it appears because I took the pic at dusk and it flashed.

He's very handsome! Not sure of the breed though.. He looks like he may be mixed... but I think he's possibly some kind of Maran, copper black almost, but he doesn't have tons of copper... which is why I think mixed

Thanks-he is handsome and sweet-the green on him is not coming out in the photos for whatever reason-in reality most of the back color is shimmery green if that helps. In

Yeah, many roosters get green tinted feathers near their tail... I think they're cool looking. I really do think he could be partially black copper maran though... He's kinda puffy though, so maybe he's mixed with a black orpington

Although I am not great at guessing breeds, I just want to say he is very handsome!

His body shape and leg color look nothing like my Easter Egger roo! I don't know what kind he is, but he sure looks proud and handsome.
