Wondering why my bird disappeared...

1 week ago today, my BSL disappeared. I've looked everywhere, twice. The other buildings, the chickens favorite spots, and the grove. I am SO confused of what happened - I didn't hear or see anything before she left, no hawks for months, no pile of feathers, blood, nothing. The other chickens weren't/aren't seeming traumitized, and no other chickens have disappeared. Wouldn't a predator come back for more after tasting a yummy chicken meal? Could the chicken just have wandered off and got lost or perhaps went off to brood? It is driving me insane not knowing what happened...

could she have gotten locked in a building on your place or any nearby?

If you have any big empty containers that can be turned over check under them.

I had a guinea get stuck upside down between 2 buildings one time.

You may be right and find that she has a nest somewhere and is sitting.

Hope you figure out where she went, I know it is scary not knowing.

Sorry to hear about your missing chicken. Sounds like a predator to me. Do you have a game camera?? This might help. Good luck!
