Any ideas about the breed of this little week-old?

Black Sex-Links are fantastic and sweet. I'm not sure on my prediction, but post a pic when it's more fully feathered to know for sure. Keep me posted!

If it's a Black Sex Link pullet, when it feathers out it will be black with some reddish or copper colored feathering in the neck area. I hope for your sake it is a Black Sex Link as they are very friendly and hardy, egg laying machines. I've raised them for years (along with dozens of other breeds and hybrids) and my BSLs have been my best layers, consistently churning out more than 300 large brown eggs per hen per year.)

Don't know if it shows up well on the pics I posted but she has a bronze colored patch on the front of her head, above her beak. Would that be consistent with a BSL? Also, I'm calling her "her" because I'm hoping Meyer wouldn't send a cockerel with an order of all females. Any experience with this issue?

Yes, BSL chicks do sometimes show a bronze/copper/reddish colored patch on the front of the head. It's caused by the red gene of the RIR father. I think it is highly likely that you have a BSL pullet.
