Won't drink ACV water?!?!

Hi everyone. I am new to BYC and to chickens. I just adopted two today, and I have a waterer that is just a sort of tank in the middle with a little trough all around. I haven't seen them drink out of it yet (well, one drank a little), and I am getting worried that they are letting themselves dehydrate. It is hot here, and they are panting a little. They came from a place with nipple waterers, which I don't know if I can install today. Any suggestions to figure out whether they are thirsty or to get them to drink from the trough? Is this something that's hard for them to figure out? Should I put water on their bodies?

Oh, also, I added ACV to their water and am wondering if I should change it out, if that's why they aren't drinking it.
