im recently got some new isa brown chickens about 6 months old. had them now for a few months. they seem ok. however they wont eat worms. they eat all other normal chicken food but if i dig worms for them, they just look at the worms then walk off. why is this? does it point to another problem?

Welcome to BYC and to the wonderful world of chickens. It sounds like your girls just don't want to eat worms - that is not a problem, just a preference on their part. Out of our current flock of 17 that are outside (we have 5 in the brooder), it's about 50/50 on liking worms. The girls that like them go mad and come running when they see one of us getting ready to start turning the ground over for them and are right in there scratching, spotting worms and pouncing without mercy - the other girls could care less about it and happily wander off to another area to scratch about for other treats they can find.
