Won't get up on roost since removing lamp (9 week chicks)

How old are they? I put my pullets out at 6 1/2 weeks of age but it was summer, 65 degrees in the hen-house at night and they were well feathered. I put their "learner" roost out in the hen-house with them to get them used to roosting again. The first three nights they slept in a pile together and peeped softly and I let them for emotional comfort. After that I put them on their "grown up" roost at night and the next night two were already on it so I placed the other 3 on it. The following nights they all were on it and have been ever since. I used a 2x4 wide side up with sanded edges for their comfort.

They were 9 weeks old when I posted. Their roosts are 2x4's also, wide side up. The temps were going from the 90's to below freezing in just a few days when I got them. We have fickle fall weather here. I put the wide side up so they'd be inclined to sit down solid for added warmth. We're having another warm spell so I figured it was a good time to wean them off the lamp. They've fussed around each evening the last 2 nights and have all been roosted tight by dark.
