Won't go in the new coop, please help???

Thanks everyone for all your help. I think I might try the treat thing first to see if that works, although the only problem is I can't really get in the pen and call them as our pen is on stilts and there is not enough room for an adult to stand up in (maybe I will send the kids in there instead

)

Our girls free range all day so locking them up would be in just the pen only, but I think I might get hubby to put a temperary fence around the pen just until they get the hang of it - fingers crossed it works.

We did a combination. We locked them in for a few days, and then once they were let out we would get out the family for a casual walk and round up about 30 min before sundown. They went in the run and then right up into the coop.

I think they usually get it after a while but I would lock them in there for a few days so they know that the new coop is their new home now. Hopefully they will understand. My Silkies got moved around from coop to coop a few times & they picked it up within about 3-4 days where they needed to be.
