Hello again everyone,
So here I am again, were 3 months or over into the new coop, and my girls still won't go in at night!
I've tried everything, light, treats, etc etc but im still having to resort to picking them up one by one and putting them in at night!
I go down, and put the light on ( in hope)
I go back down and put them in ( they are all huddled under they're coop in the sand box)
I go back down and turn the light off
Its a daily occurance

I purchased an auto door - which I love for the mornings!!! and they come down the ramp no probs, still won't go up unless even a bit of encouragement ie one hand behind them and one to the side, and my up up up up up nightly chat

Also... there's only one lady laying atm, in the said sandbox!!!

Could it be a ventilation problem?

I've only got 3 silkies

I clean the coop daily,Theres mite and lice powder in there, im completely on that, I poop pick daily, there's DM in there, fresh straw etc etc perches, boxes, I've studied and tried, I honestly don't know what I can do more!!!

I'm assuming there's a ramp up to the coop? To start with in my experience silkies are reluctant to use ramps. Ramp width and angle are factors that impact use. Can you post a picture of the access to the coop. Everything in the coop looks great.

I've added a pic of the ramp, looks like its getting use!, they come down it, and will go up it if prompted, but not by them selves

Silkies can’t/don’t hardly ever fly. It’s difficult for them because of the structure of their feathers. Maybe the ramp is too steep or narrow and it makes them nervous?
Perhaps spending the night outside will teach them to go inside. If they will be safe, that is.

Well, i think ground sleepers( thats how they were at the breeders) i had a smaller perch in there before, never seen them use it.. and never seen them use this one.. but they are Silkies so would only be a low perch I believe anyway.
Im rolling with ground sleepers lol

I only just put it in there, normally there's not a perch ( well only a small one about a foot long) they seem to sleep congregated around the entrance door
