Ok I have two barred rock hens and one Ameraucana. My BR are sisters from the same broody 8 months ago but one will lay her egg by 9am the other takes all darn day i'm lucky if she does by 1pm
. But if i collect her sisters first egg in the morning she won't lay an egg untill the next day when her sister egg is there. I have tried a golf ball and a fake egg she wont go for it! And i keep puting the eggs and the decoys in the nest box but they refuse to lay there but rather in the corner on the floor we have been battleing the location for a month now i give up they have yet to crack an egg so whatever to that plus they will move the egg or the decoy from the nest box and put it in the corner too! but what about the laying of the egg and my Ameraucana is 5 months this week and hasn't started laying a thing for me! Darn them alll!!!
