Hi!! We just picked up two americana's and a silkie (all pullets) a couple of days ago. They were in the coop for the first 48 hours. I opened the run door for them this morning, but they haven't come out yet. I want to clean their coop pop up, and refresh their water and food. Thoughts?!?!

Welcome to BYC!

If the food and water is inside the coop, bring it outside to their run.

Give them some time and they'll come out.

Thank you!! Do you think they won't go back in? Should I leave the food am water outside overnight, or move it back in when the sun goes down?

Ok, food and water have been outside for almost an hour....they are thinking about it, but haven't come out yet.

Might want to set a concrete block under low end of ramp to reduce steepness of angle.
What's with the plastic mesh on the ground?
They might not like that.
But just give them time.....or toss them out there.

This is the first time raising backyard birds for me. What I do is let them roam my fenced in backyard and they have there own playhouses to sleep in. I make sure the food and water is outside of there sleeping/laying area. Even during the winter when it snows here I keep the food and water outside. Just to make sure they get some fresh air and excercise.
