Woo Hoo!!! My first egg!! Oh wait... Dangit!!

So, I was just outside in the yard with my chickens and guineas, and my BO squatted right in front of me and 2 inches from my cat and laid an egg!! Just like that, squatted, pushed, laid.
My excitement was very short lived as she got right up, turned around and ate it, shell and all. Makes me wonder how long she's really been laying.
What's the deal with that? They eat plenty so I know it's not that. what????

You could try blowing out an egg and filling it with some super spicy mustard. Leave it out where she will see it. I have heard that this works well, but I have never tried it myself.
